2- Fire mages
3/4- ele shaman and balance Druids
5- shadow priests
They consider warlocks the best class. The only downside is that they mention a good lock player must master the 3 specs to adapt to the different bosses.

Yeah well that kinda negates the top spot. No one except mythic raiders, has the time or persistence to master 3 completely different specs and farm gear for all 3 of them. I’d do it if it was a full time and well paid job.
True, but I forgot to mention that they said “even if you don’t master the 3 specs, your are still in a very good spot if you are a lock no matter what spec.”
yup, warlock has always been super well designed for raid. you dont even need to know demo in all honesty if you dont want to
I dont have the gear even for affliction, much less for 3 specs!
I’d say you just need to know Affliction and Destro for Raids, Those 2 specs outclass it in every category. You need to know Demo for Mythic+ tho. If this was Blizzard’s intent then its not particularly good imo.
Its good to hear that warlocks are in such a strong place in progression raiding. I wish some of that love would trickle down into M+
You only really need to know destro.
Fire Mage is the best, followed by Destro lock, then a pretty big gap, then Hunter, then Affliction, then Boomy, then who cares

yeah 15’s are non-existent for me at this point in season it’s sad
Locks are terrible atm affliciton is the 3rd worst spec in the game, 2nd worst spec is demo. Destro locks are lower mid tier and only do well in two target cleave fights. if there is more than two targets ur bottom tier. on single target fights your also bottom tier.
heroic content is a joke and its all about burst damage and heroic content is no way to gage how well its doing since the mechanics don’t hurt and its just about burst
Demo ramp up time is boring. Also if you want to do the best dps you need to sacrifice a lot of demon summoning (hence the most fun part of the spec) to focus on felguard damage, imps and dread stalkers. Doing my visions and dailies as demo is a easy however. And I switch my talents to have grimoire felguard, nether portal to add flavor and some style! When I have my army out, allies usually leave my alone lol
i wouldnt call heroic a joke if you havent cleared it yet.
look at the mythic race, know what there was a lot of? warlocks. sorry youre not havin alotta success on yours but they are A+ tier this raid
Warlocks are pretty strong for raids. For M+ find a carry. Arenas…they are S tier again!
For real. I’m going destro on ST fights on heroic (I’m a casual) and I’m second on dps only behind a mage. On cleave fights like hivemind I’m top. Affliction is great too, but I find dealing with dots boring. For sure not lower tier.
Yipz seems to be maining Destro on all fights (Heroic) and switches to Affliction on Shad’har. Might dust off my Lock and give him a whirl.
BM hunter and fire mage are ahead of warlock in pretty much all content. So… yeah, sorry but method was wrong.
