Method and AllCraft feat. Asmongold Bash Blizzard's Normal Business Practices

How do you feel about WoW streamers being hypocritical?

Watch for about a minute.

Streamers “sell out” all the time by endorsing products, getting sponsored, and running ads. They also made it big by standing on the shoulders of giants, yet they bash normal business practices from the very company that allowed them to flourish as a streamer by using their copyrighted material.

These social media influencers that keep bashing Blizzard as a business entity needs to remember their own leeching business practices.

Money runs the world and corrupts all.

Never trust a guy who “plays” video games for a living. A fool and his money are soon parted.

Wish I could stream WoW for a living seems like easy money if you make it big although that is a big if.

I dunno. the tricky part is thinking of interesting things to do from one day to the next. Grinding dailies and pet battles can only get you so far after a month or two.

Dumb thread. Selling out would be if everyone making a living off another product just decided to shower praise on said product out of some blind loyalty. They are commentators nothing more, not sure what you expect.

That these people choose to critisize their meal ticket (thus risking that mealticket) shows integrity and honesty, not the other way around. Everyone wants the game to be more fun, they are not in this to see the world burn. And most people can actually form their own opinions - this misplaced implication that streamers are the source of widespread discontent is a bunch of bs.

If you notice closely to Allcraft sponsored products, they are WoW figurines.

So what is that supposed to mean?

I think some streamers are cringeworthy but…

Of course they do, it’s part of their income. You also sell out every time you sign paperwork to do a job.

I think they have opinions just like everyone else. Some streamers white knight over the games they play and others are critical.

I don’t look to streamers for guidance very often, I certainly envy someone who can make a living playing video games, which gamer wouldn’t?

Fact is you will only buy into it if you let them influence you, gaming is not the pleasant family friendly fun of days gone by, so currently raging about Blizzard is the ‘thing’ to do now.

Blizzard has changed, the atmosphere has changed and we as gamers have either gone with the flow or stood steadfast in our beliefs, at which point no streamer is going to change your mind one way or another anyway.

All I’m seeing is the vocal players being upset about losing part of their lives, essentially to a game that is being developed seemingly off course of their desired gaming experience. I understand this, although I’m not dependent on the gaming community to pay the bills.

These streamers that commit need to make money, regardless of their opinions with the state of the game currently, so logically you’re going to see them advertising, although it seems hypocritical it’s just people trying to make a living doing what they do.

Not everyone is like method and sucks up to blizz.

Hahahahaha

It means I can judge them for their lack of top quality unique content when it’s stale and stolen assets, yet they still continue to advertise and promote products instead of “fixing” the issue I have with them which makes their business choices questionable.

The term “selling out” is an idea made up by self-saboteurs. “Selling out” essentially means that you compromised your beliefs for money. If you get paid to affirm your beliefs, that’s not “selling out”, That is the dream. It’s Blizzard who is selling out…

OP just trying to be in Asmongold’s stream. You’ll get your minute of fame dude. (y)

Asmongold makes videos/streams for a paycheck; As do most of these streamers. They will say/do whatever to cause a s h i t storm so they continue getting paid.
