Metalheads In Wow

Sitting here with Liquid Metal cranked up. I’m almost 50, so any rock/metal/prog from the 70’s to now is always playing. Looking forward to Gojira’s new album!!!

i’m not sure if The Mantle is my all-time favorite metal album, but it’s definitely top 5. y’all should listen to it if you want to feel depressed

I enjoy stoner/doom metal; Bands like Kyuss, Electric Wizard, Weedeater, and Windhand are some of my favorites. Special shoutout to Toadliquor and Burning Witch for doing something different.

I always have my old scool backups like Obituary, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, and Sepultura on deck as well. Can’t forget Slayer and Ministry.

Also, anyone who plays drums, check out some videos of the drummer from Infant Annihilator (Aaron Kitcher). No, it’s not a machine.

Not the first time giving them a shout out but they deserve another

Amon Amarth - With Oden On Our Side Full Album HD - YouTube

I saw Sepultura in concert many many years ago, they opened for Ozzy with Bio-hazard and Danzig being the second act. Got to see Slayer as well on their Reign in Blood tour opening for Judas Priest.

Both bands were actually really good. Dethmetal/Speedmetal isn’t really my thing but they really got the crowd going.

also, my ear is still ringing from those Big Black fire crackers

haha, guessing we’re in the same age range. My first concert was '87 Def Leppard Hysteria with Tesla opening on their first album Mechanical Resonance. :upside_down_face:

Edit: 1987, hit the wrong button!

I somehow just discovered Agalloch about a year ago, can’t believe The Mantle existed for like 18 years before I heard it. Great stuff

Oh that would have been awesome. Never got the chance to see Prince. Really wish I had though!

he always said he would hang out at the club he opened, the space was always roped off but he was never there

he would approve if we turned this metal thread into a Prince thread

I really regret never going to one of his shows. I think he is one of the most underrated great guitar players that has ever lived.

From the people that I know that went to his concerts said it was just amazing.
