Meta Warlock is so much fun! What warlock runes are people wanting for future phases?

I want to have different Demon forms or at least be able to shrink the current model and/or lose the wings.

I just want the model to be polished a bit. Like, it’s amazing, but I can’t do any emotes, or dance, or sleep in a bag…

And have you seen how small effects are on the model? They behave like the thing is smaller than a gnome. Micro bubble from priest between the legs. Summoning effects have the little particles down there.

As much as i like Meta Locks, i truly wish they added something along the lines of “negates 25% magic damage”. How is it that casters are still critting us for a chunk of our HP as a tank? Makes no sense.

I’d like that as well but as long as Lake of Fire exists in its current state I don’t see how we can escape from that build. It’s just too strong.

I’m actually hoping bosses in MC and BWL are immune to fire because of this. Sm ruin looks like it can do well with UA eventually.

There’s no way they’d keep the resists unless they give Meta some way to make SP Shadowflame damage so they can actually Tank.

They’re also supposedly getting Immo Aura next phase which would also need to be changed if they kept the Fire Immunity in MC.

I’d love to run SM/Ruin but without some Lake of Fire/Incinerate equivalent I don’t see how the damage can compete with Fire.

This is classic. With the exception of holy damage, your answer to magic damage is:

Resistance
Potions that absorb elemental damage (even holy!)

So when the day comes you need it, a combo of consumables with Demonology tree + Fel Hunter will be your answer.

Say that to poison and bleed in gnomer.

That just impacts DPS on trash it doesn’t prevent a Meta Tank from Tanking which Fire Immunity would.

I have a lot of fun Banishing Meta Warlocks. I want anything that makes Affliction actually competitive in PvE and actually puts damage pressure on enemies in PvP.

Warlocks get 30% damage taken split to their pet and with void sac, you get 10% reduction from physical. You also get 6% chance not to be crit.

Paladins have…yep nothing. No damage reduction, no reduced chance to crit, no splitting damage, and no tanking cool downs at all.

The dot crit + UA that are in line for next phase sounds good already. I’d just add something small for pet defense n heal. Something for nightfall proc in meta. And a little of cast pushback prevention for meta.

Lake of fire should affect aoe only.
Dance of the wicked should have higher mana regen and not have the dodge amount overwritten when ur crit runs out.
Shadowflame should have either triple the damage or a slow.
Grimoire needs a higher proc, atm you can go full raid fights without even seeing it go off once.
Soul siphon is worthless compared to master channeler.
Meta needs to have its cost halved.

Hopefully immo aura doesnt turn out to be a complete joke like shadowflame, i was excited for that one.

Meta needs its damage toned down as its a tank spec, not DPS. Spells usable need to be limited in forms and range limited to 10-15 yards (and even that is being generous. They should really be melee only). Then boom! you are an actual Vanilla tank.

Are you running Improved Firebolt?

Meta tanked pretty well phase one with corruption, shadow cleave, and master channeler. You can’t get imp searing pain and soul link. You can however gear soul link and improved drain life/corruption, imp Firestone/spell stone.

Yep. after not getting a proc on a 1 minute grubbis fight i went yeah nah, i prefer the permanent 10% damage over a tiny chance at 25%.
That fight is still my worst parsed grubbis out of 8 kills.

You have to activate it or it won’t work, it’s a passive, but also needs to be pressed all the time.
