I’m 2900+ druid and can’t get into decent groups above 22. I look at the groups and it’s all hpall or priest. Bliz nerfed pally now 2 times and it’s still meta. Nerfed G druid 2 times and still meta. Wish I would have rolled hpall 3 months ago. I’d be 3200 now. How do you nerf specs 2-3 times and it’s still meta? Oh, MDI/ The Great Push which was all the same classes. Ridiculous.
I’m sure they’ll nerf the interactions between the specs and the dungeons and not just the numbers; leaving those specs in the dirt until their overhaul in 11.1 though right
Because they keep nerfing the wrong things. Paladins utility is why they are meta. They have the tools to deal with all the problems. No other healer even comes close to the toolkit Holy Paladin has. The only way Holy Paladin isn’t going to be meta is if they get nerfed to the point they actually can’t heal anymore.
The other specs of the Exodia comp are the same. On their own, neither Shadow or Fire are particularly good. But combine them with an Augvoker and you get the Triforce of Synergy.
I may be wrong because I don’t play at the tippy top, but isn’t the meta tank somewhat decided by which of the six can group the most up and deal fat damage/not require babysitting? Tank seems to shift meta a lot more than the others.
Then healer seems to be whichever deals the most damage or whichever is stronger between hpal/rdruid because their kits are stacked?
And then dps is whoever has the most uncapped aoe + immunity?
Idk I could be way off or over simplifying it (even without getting into how each of the current dps feed each other)
Sure you can, start your own group or play with friends.
I dont have much experience with 20 keys but can a feral feral do 22+ if that what you are ? Then why not push your own key ?
I feel like the only way you’re going to change this meta without removing spells or nerfing them to the point of unplayability is to give the other classes some similar utility. Which has its own problems.
What is interesting is that despite every one knowing holy Paladin is the meta healer, for 20 and higher keys resto shamans have the most rep, followed by resto Druids and then holy paladins.
For +25 and higher resto shaman is still slightly above holy Paladin, and resto druid isn’t far behind.
Maybe that is a carry over from before the 10.1.5 rework where shaman/druid healers were more prevalent?
I’m getting into the same problem, but it’s “above a 20” (or a 21 if I’ve already done it.)
Never had an issue getting into pugs until Exodia really became a thing. I feel your pain.
I would like rdruid to get some passive damage buffs like maybe some portion of overhealing damages enemies or something. The healing part of the spec is quite fun for me right now. Hpal does comparable healing and far better damage, I don’t think this is an unreasonable request.
