Messing with bots

Anyone else happen upon all the leather farming bots over in Hawthorne’s Plot in Drustvar?

Typically a group of multiboxed boomkins all spamming dots/aoe’s on the infinitely quick respawns of the quilrats in the area. Most of the time I’m all for someone multiboxing, I don’t really have a say in it when it comes down to it. However, when said multiboxers are clearly running scripts/bots… I tend to mind just a little bit, mostly I stand in the middle of them and keep up a constant aoe next to them…

and don’t loot a single thing… my bags are full, we’ll go with that. Typically it takes them over 20 minutes to notice, the person running the bots, and they try to hide the druids in stealth until you leave or they try to move shards.

Granted, the 20 mins or so of me interrupting the endless farm really does nothing in the long run, but I think what does even less is reporting the bots. I honestly think blizzard doesn’t care if their in-game economy is f’d. Also I don’t think they are that these people are running bots because they do in fact multibox on top of it… mo money mo money, right Blizz?

Bots are the only players in game I will mess with because it’s okay, they don’t have feelings.

It is slightly pointless and I’m sure the 10-60 min of interruption isn’t a huge deal for them over 24 hours or however long they run the bots, but still a good deed in the end.

I tend to run into the Alliance ones over in Nazmir trying to farm the crawgs around the central pyramid structure. There’s a usually 3 of them, all Boomkin, spamming AoEs. But oddly they’re flagged for Warmode, so taking shots at them Is valid. They usually don’t notice until the first one goes down, but after that they tend to refocus and attack, by spamming moon fire/sun fire. (They never move from their location though. If you step out of range they don’t do anything.)

Speaking of bots, what is it that the horde love so much off of these Naga mobs?

They are here all the time, even when Ally owns Darkshore.

hmm, that is odd. Gave up on this xpac a while ago. don’t much care for the stupid treadmills. But at the same time. Blizzard doesn’t really seem to give a sh!t anymore about this sort of thing. I mean honestly, you’re pretty much telling your fan base just how little you care about this game that’s auctionhouse is supposedly dictated by players… then you have rampant bots… sure you can’t catch them all, but when constantly reporting said bots nothing is done.

If you use any skill that knocks them back or pulls them out of formation, they’re totally useless. I saw a Boomkin triad in Korrak sitting in the alliance base and I pulled one of them behind an obstacle. It ran in place trying to get past the obstacle until it died.

Might be said botter doesn’t know how to read and assumes warmode gives extra bonuses to looting/skinning? who knows…
