I reset my knowledge wanting to focus on the mail bracers, but accidentally put 80 profession points into the leather armor specialization when I meant to put them into the mail armor. I have basically bricked my leatherworking with this mistake, in-game support says Blizzard won’t reset my points, so now I’m months away from even being where I was before the reset. FML.
Sorry, that sucks. Time to roll a rogue, monk or druid.
Why do you think you are bricked for months with only 80 KP spent in Leather instead of Mail?
I started a new LW in January. They have 224 KP after today’s Patron Orders. You can get there in a single month, or less assuming you have unspent KP beyond that 80 you placed in Leather.
I don’t play as much as I’d like these days, RL is taking more time than it used to. I’m only at 229 points, and I doubt I’ll be able to grind out 80 more in a timely manner.
Does it reset skills? You are below a threshold to open a tab or something? Misplaced KPs is a set back for sure, but you are not bricked. /smh, that reset sure is not the great remedy that it was supposed to be!
No, I’m at 80 something skill for LWing, so I have all 4 tabs unlocked, but to make up that 80 skill points it will take months of extra work and gold sinking to do, and I don’t have that kind of free time anymore. I’m really wishing I had just left the skills alone at this point, of for Blizz to add a way to reset them again.
Unfortunately I don’t see them adding another reset any time soon.
There is, however, a little hope here. You can buy a 10 knowledge point (kp) book from the new faction with rep. And if you haven’t yet, of course there are the the 10 kp books (x3) from the Artisans consortium.
If you’re hurting for materials and you have a skinner, please consider doing a wolf/bee farm. There are groups running this round the clock in group finder. You easily pick up thousands of skins per hour along with tons of greens and blue BoEs that you can put on the AH to help your cash situation.
Oh look, it’s exactly why I knew making it a one-time reset was a bad idea, and it should’ve just been very expensive. Yeah, it’d suck having to pay several thousand gold for a reset, but at least it would be a mistaken with a remedy other than “wait for more knowledge”.
I would easily pay 100KG to undo this mistake.
Try using up your last spark and crafted crest and then making the opposite one you needed and wasting them… ya, I did that.
