Mesh wifi systems advice

Looking for input on which mesh wifi system you recommend.
we currently have a netgear powerline AC 1200 system scattered around outlets in our house. We just figured out our new house had everything on GFI lines which seems like it is causing almost constant collisions to the outlet transmitters.

We think the best solution is a mesh WIFI system. Two story home with really crappy speed upstairs. What is a good system that doesn’t have inconsistency issues.

Get a mesh wifi with a dedicated backhaul. Either wired, where you have to run cables to connect them, or wireless, which are probably tri-band snd run more expensive.

Own the home? Run cat 6-7 throughout and enjoy the faster stable speed and better security.

A cheaper and easier solution is to use MoCA adapters. Most older homes have coax lines run all over the house. It’s usually pretty easy to access the box where the coax cables terminate. Use those to form a basic wired network. While, ethernet drops are definitely superior to MoCA, MoCA is going to be superior to any wifi setup.

Depending on the size of the house, mesh may not be necessary. I have a Netgear Nighthawk AX6600 and it covers my ~1800sqft two story house very well, with a strong signal in the garage and front and back yards.

Been wanting to do this so I can take full advantage of gigabit internet, but there’s several places I want an ethernet jack where there’s no obvious way to pull the wire through. It might be possible to replace the various coax jacks through the house with ethernet, but it’d be nice to keep the coax in tact as an additional selling point if I ever decide to move. Very frustrating.

This is an option I’ve considered and may still opt for, but man those adapters are not cheap. Would cost me somewhere in the ballpark of $240-$360 for the setup and adding any new ones is another $60-$90 for each.

Our house is newer and has no coax cables

We ended up getting the mesh system and it works perfectly
We got a eero Pro 6 AX4200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 Mesh Wifi System

Most new houses have built in locations for cable drops. My house is specifically wired for 1 coax, 1 rj11, 1 rj45 and 1 fibre for each bedroom and living room. You’ll have to set the outlets yourself but that’s just standard practice for a few year old house.
