The forum reply function is strange. The old forums had the capability of reporting posts to be stickied by blues, but that option isn’t available anymore. Overall, the new forums > the old in terms of functionality, but the only way to report the OP is by literally reporting them for negative reasons.
There’s got to be a way to get attention of the blues without outright throwing one of our own under a forum report bus. Unless someone wants to take one for the team.

I second (third, fourth, 80th?) the server connection idea for Earthen Ring. It’s home, and has been since launch. It used to be a great server, and the people who remain are still wonderful standouts.
I believe our home deserves to be given new life with fresh additions to the community through a server connection!
Merging wouldn’t change that. It’d stay the same due to how we’re already sharded with a bunch of other servers anyway, we just can’t recruit any of them.

I agree with you Xenkore, I want to know what sort of examples that make a server frustrating? Is it due to lag? Or because a desire to do more solo projects? Was it a server that was occupied a number of streamers of well known Mythic guilds?
A lot of people want this merge because they’re passionate about RP, and bringing their character’s story to life. The merge would only be beneficial and help those stories expand. Whether or not they’re smaller storylines, or if they’re server wide.
A server can still be super chill and have a larger player base. Seeing a game come to life with the number of players is something that always makes the kid that originally picked up this game smile.
More updoots for server merge friends, let’s get some more popularity to them.

I asked about a server merge back in April of 2016 and @BlizzardCS tweeted back that they “Haven’t heard anything but expect to start seeing an increase soon”.
If we get passed over for another merge I can’t even fathom how long it’ll be until they do another round.
Agreed! Earthen Ring should have been merged long ago. The difference between ER in common role play spaces like capital cities and the high population RP servers is like night and day. So many wonderful reasons to do this have already been stated, so I won’t reiterate here, but I agree ER should be merged!!

I know we are somehow classified as Medium population, but I am sure that even Blizzard would be able to see we are (probably) on the low end of “medium”.
Come on Blizzard, it would be great to have a few more peeps to play with on ER. We could’ve used a merge years ago.
I am not a denizen here but periodically have looked at the realm over the years. Hope you fellas get something. It’s really really sad that all the RP servers except MG and WRA (sometimes ED?) are basically dead. Those two are too large but everything else is virtually non-existent.

Yeah, RP realms outside MG and WrA are largely forgotten, with exception of ED but that’s primarily because it’s where RP-PvPers coalesced when their own RP-PvP servers shrank. Good on it, but I imagine there are RP-PvP servers in the same boat is ER – small population yet too “big” to merge.
Going to keep bringing the noise and hopefully get blue attention.

I would not have even looked back here if I didn’t see an alert. Regardless I still stand by my opinion and feel it is fine to voice it in a thread discussing the merging of earthen ring. I don’t have to sit and try to justify my opinion with math or a pie chart when it is merely a difference of experience between servers I play on.
I also don’t mind if people disagree. Not a hill i’m going to die on.

How does one go about trying to find a guild on horde side with people playing, preferably doing some raids etc? The guild finder function isn’t too good honestly.
