Merged queues?

I am having fun with 120 but, patch 8.3 feels like Twinking in its entirety of overpoweredness at end game.
We can buy T3 corruptions from the Auction House for mass amounts of Gold, which can literally one shot other players.
Breath of the Dying R3 essence can pretty much delete players with a Lazer beam… :man_shrugging:
As I said before, it has ruined my class fantasy haha…
It is almost like the powers that be have tried to replicate the exact thing that Twinks were doing during the overpowered eras… only at end game.

Twinking was and is a lot more balanced(disregarding 20s/29s) than current end level 120 in my opinion for many cases, or at least not so wild and it definitely doesnt nearly require as much as 120 does to get into PvP. 120 PvP isn’t like ramstein or something, but its still definitely got balancing problems I think.

100% agree with you here, obtaining the gear is actually easier too…

Which is another reason twinking was fun. Gear had a set value, none of that azerite/corruption effect rng trash. Just run dungeons and raids then gg ez. Plus once geared your gear is always good. Having to stay up to date on a 120 is just too troublesome with all these new bs systems they unloaded.

I never understood the appeal to gear when the gear was just gonna be thrown away fairly quickly, either through disabling or leveling up or perhaps a combination of both. The only reason in my opinion I see to gear up max level or why to gear up max level is for it to become a twink and its easier when you set it up earlier when its a bit more popular to do. Not throwing away gear is amazing, but I can see why they wouldn’t want you to keep it. But people with that mindset its often that you cannot force them to go about it by just blocking it off.

I like how we have in combination with all the posters already gotten to 91 or 92 posts lol

I can see why people would choose to, it just does not appeal to me at all. The thrill of doing new PvE content at the highest difficulty pinnacle you can achieve - which incidentally is heavily gear dependent. WoW pve is too boring (imo) with a linear storyline - often time that makes zero sense according to lore.

Eh I guess I could see it for the challenge, but low levels and twinks definitely have challenge as well usually its tuned and remains tuned. The only difficulty is getting people to go through raids, but people still do that and make groups for that at least when twinks were more allowed and popular, but even sometimes now. I could see wanting to do current stuff, but it just seems so finite and like a never ending cycle of a gear treadmill if you keep going in those terms. Also, you have to worry about gear and stuff being balanced constantly, whereas low levels and twinks are more static. Of course, balancing would be great in at least some regard, but it would never be as much or as wild as max level nor would it need to be. Unless a big patch or something happens of course like perhaps shadowlands might be.

Last two expansions have blatantly pushed endgame content though. Class/spec _____ rotation is clunky until you legendary _________ = legion. Class/spec _____ rotation and gameplay is mind numbing until you get essence _____ and corruption _______ = bfa.

With shadowlands getting a leveling revamp things hopefully get better.

This has been fun, but its getting late and I need to go to sleep. Good night! It was fun chatting with you and others, hope you figured it out!

Oh one last thing, I haven’t seen anything on this except this thread so it doesn’t appear widespread heh.

Just wondering, did you figure it out in the end?

im not reading 97 posts but there are exploits people use to get into regular bgs with their experience turned off

Yes, we’re all aware of that. There was quite a weekend boom of them however, and a new glitch - missing bandana.

Its impossible to do that anymore as far as I know, without out of game manipulation(unless that got patched as well). Pretty much any information you find or know is gonna be old.

There was a whole thing about it being patched if you guys remember.

Yep. Glad they did too. And I’m a twink.

Problem with this backdoor bs that people do now is they are only there to wreck levelers. They aren’t there to face other twinks. So few do this exploit, they only end up facing off against levelers. Ultimately it’s a nasty situation. Twinks with any sense of fair play that want to wreck other twinks aren’t exploiting.

I remember this argument, and I wouldn’t really agree or disagree except for the fact that its impossible to play on your twink in the bracket without leveling it without an exploit(or party sync but you have almost no control over the character which is a major part of twinking, and you also need another account and changing up lvls(not true twinking really)). That is true since almost no twinks know of it its gonna be unbalanced in a lot of aspects, but it also makes sense why they wouldn’t share because they want to still be able to get games(cause it would likely spread somehow and get patched). Many of them probably don’t mind facing other twinks, its just that they can’t because they aren’t there to fight easily in the queues. Korraks revenge was an absolute success facing against 120s with twinks, many twinks qued a ton even though they weren’t facing weak levelers(often levelers who know what they are doing are not weak) to steamroll or have an massive advantage.

Yep, it’s why my 39’s, 49, and 59 sit in mothballs. Exploits will likely get busted. You’re liable to lose the toon at that rate anyway. Don’t see the point. Lose it via bust, lose it via leveling, end result is the same.

Some don’t, for sure. Before the queue split, we had horde regulars that we were twinking against constantly. (Shout out to Bigmaces, Bigmamitwo, Onepunch and others. Miss you guys.)

They could also just follow the rules and get games.

Knowingly exploiting the game (I.e cheating) suggests otherwise.

I think smashing levellers is the key here.

Dont think you would lose it your character over this, but they might force level it like I heard that one time effectively losing it. I also heard people messing it up and lvling up, so there is that. Yeah definitely I remember twinks stating they didn’t mind it on xpoff, and Korraks revenges turn out proves it. The only thing I would wonder to check via it is to see if sub 120s can still get corrupted gear.

Korrak’s was amazing. I wish all low level BG’s were like that.

I’m not sure you understand, its pretty much logistically impossible to get games with the characters as xpoff. Characters they have spent tons of effort on and sometimes its the main reason they play. I do not see how you can correlate trying to get games to play the character you spent a ton of time to set up is equal to specifically trying to defeat levelers. That could be part of an intention, but its difficult to know.
