Bring the 0-29 honor level in the 30-owlcapwn bracket.
The new players need to learn with the best. Throwing them after hours of bad pvp habits into the real epic is not healthy.
They don’t understand that by going from 29 to 30 honor level the meta changed.
For example in IoC 0-29 they still go glaives and win with it…
free the entry bracket, merge all players.
At least do it for epic battlegrounds.
I think Blizzard should create tutorial videos for its game content. They could pay a few skilled players to make the videos and link them in game. This would make life a lot easier for new players. For example, new players struggle to find the capture portal in Deephaul Ravine. If there were a tutorial video, there’d likely be less chaos in the DR BG chat.
This is probably the biggest eff up going. Blizzard hasnt done it, Wowhead hasn’t done it, and the pvp player bade is too busy posting 1v1 videos to do it.
There needs to be - for every battleground - a bare bones, all-facts-no-filler guide tonhow a map works. Especially for AV and Ashran.
My tinfoil hat theory is that the current developers dont touch BGs because they dont know themselves how they work. If you weren’t here when those BGs launched, youre learning from /i and thats basically like trying to learn about geopolitics from neighborhood gossip.
They’ve done less than nothing for BGs and there needs to be some serious effort made to rectify the situation.
Honor level 1000s can often easily be mistaken for new players.
Terrible idea.
There should be a starter bracket to prevent fresh players from getting instantly mowed over by experienced players.
They are more likely to quit the game in that case then climb up the Mount Everest that is trying to learn all the nuances and classes and procs in this game.
Most people are not going to go on their zoro arc after getting destroyed by Mihawk. Especially when they don’t already have sunk cost fallacy in the game.
You could argue the opposite too like with people having inflated egos playing bots in certain games and claiming cheating when they find someone who actually knows how to play
Artificial hand holding is super boring for gameplay
Idk why everyone always uses bots as an example for bad play.
A bot that is not being kneecapped can destroy any human player with ease.
They are very strong wayyyy stronger than even pikaboo if they are allowed to be.
Epics are a good place to learn and practice from the best. Not to get surprised after spending 6-12 months in the entry bracket to suddenly facing veterans with new strats.
Theres a big difference between same level bots(comp stomp) and like perfect shot legendary halo 3 360 no scope across the map NPCs

Why shield low Honor Level players from us - when Blizzard doesn’t shield us from level 1, 5, 8s in Rated Blitz? So, they should having a learning curve in Epics… but get to ruin Blitz with no experience?
I don’t even play Blitz because of them.
Perhaps we should begin letting the god tier bots who are better than any person at the game begin running around so we can “learn from the best”.
Would basically be the equivalent of putting a honor level 5 vs a 1k like some are asking for.
Every other game has brackets that indicate both skill and experience because they realized putting a radiant player vs a iron 1 player is overkill.
I think they should actually segregate players even more by honor level. Like 0-100, 101-200, etc. Might even solve the premade problem.
0-30 is very ded though, I agree.
I would not want more segregation, the idea is to bundle all epic players together

I can’t even queue bgs on this account. It takes almost an hour before a BG will pop which ends in less than 5 mins. I have over 1k honor level on my other blizz license. It’s another arachnic feature this game needs to get rid of. Non rated Bgs are the most casual dad content this game offers. Making 2 brackets for it, is asinine.
Moodwings makes Paindevice seem like the kind of guy you wouldn’t mind hanging out with, after all.
I actually agree with this. Epics are the easiest, most relaxing pvp you can do. It’s like the LFR of pvp. I see no reason to separate honor levels.
OP, are you saying this because of queue times? Good epic BG players of both factions already have to help carry games, so I’m not necessarily opposed to more deadweight if the number is generally low.
Hahaha this right here! ^ honor level means nothing. High honor levels are just people who spam ebgs and there’s nothing wrong with that. . But I wouldn’t put any more stock into it than that. At the end of the day when i Que Into a bg I’m happy to see rivals and duelists. Especially on my priest….they be getting dark arch and pi! It’s gg
Yo Blizzard, give us the low honor level, we will take care of them.
Dont let the new players sit in 30minute queues while farming 270000 honor at 1000 honor per bg.
They won’t make it out before hating pvp.
