Merge TCG Items in WoW Classic from Retail

Please allow us to link our TCG items from Retail WoW to Classic WoW. You already allow purchases to go between Classic and Retail, so with a quick link to those specialized items, we can truly relive the Classic experience in full.

Plus, now it doesn’t lead to people selling already scratched TCG cards. You control the market by making a link between Retail. It’s easy. It leads to more fun. Even people without the mounts/items will be like " that’s so cool", just like I am when I see someone rocking legendary very rare gear that I don’t have. It’s sweet! So, why not?

What exactly do you mean by this?
Could you give an example?

It also doesn’t drive any sales of new items, nor does it seem to have any obvious return on the investment of development. Who is going to sign off on additional resource allocation for work to be done with no benefit to the business?

Perhaps you could put together a better presentation that would frame it in a different light.

In any case, personally I have always felt that they should offer new card packs in Hearthstone that the playerbase can purchase with a chance for tabards, mounts, toys, pets, maybe even titles for WoW Classic.

Even though I don’t play Hearthstone, and am not even particularly interested in it, that would give me a reason to buy some card packs and mess around with that game.

You’re not going to drive sales for a charity pet that doesn’t exist anymore either, but it was given to you in MoP Classic.

As soon as I saw that I wanted my Swift Spectral Tiger. It’s only fair.

Let me have my flying kitten mount he cried

I’m not joking let me have my Sunwarmed Furline plz blizzard.

Such as when people buy other Blizzard games or Epic versions of WoW releases they sometimes include items that can be used in WoW Classic AND in Retail.

Okay.
But still separate items not a single item that can be used in both places.

I realize the Collectors Edition pets were allowed in 2019 when Classic first dropped and back in the day there were some folk that got their dander up about that. If you are talking about having access to items in Classic that you’ve obtained in retail then I guess that’s fine but imo only if availability is tied to the point in the game’s timeline when it was originally available. Example: Swift Spectral Tiger was first available during TBC so if Blizz wanted to do this then if a player had the item in retail, they could go talk to Landro in Booty Bay to get the mount in Classic when TBC released. It would not be available to Classic Era which would cover any version of Classic including the seasonal-style servers we’ve seen thus far that have not advanced to TBC content.

YMMV

Well, it didn’t lead to new money for Blizzard to assign someone to REMOVE the codes from the game. So, they obviously believe that financially it was worth it for them to REMOVE FUN from the game for the people who can use the items. I’m just saying it would be nice to see them reverse it to add some extra fun back into the game.

In comparison, it’s like how the NFL sometimes gets called the “No Fun League” because they remove fun from certain aspects of in-game celebrations, which some believe is unnecessary.

I’m not sure that they removed anything, since the codes have already been used for different products.

Lost me there. I’m not into soccer.
