Welcome to World of Warcraft a faction-based game that doesn’t have factions, its alliance vs neutral in this epic MMORPG where we pick sides, wait, and then pick sides again, unless your alliance, then you get the amazing privilege of carrying fresh horde 60’s who afk and kick leads out of brawls when they start to win.
How do they do this? Must be a bad lead to get enough reports to remove them.
run on sentences need to go first.
You can’t merc brawls.
Edit: If he’s referring to the brawl, I’ve noticed that there are people engaging in serial harassment and trying to afk-kick people that they don’t like. I’ve been kicked within 5 seconds of joining an Ashran instance five times in the past 3 hours, and the queues are awful at 40 minutes or more.
When I mean kicked, I mean I LITERALLY join, and in five seconds, I am just booted. I can’t even pick up a riding crop. I can’t even reach the -bridge-.
The moment I spoke on my Shaman and referenced myself, they tried to report me away again as well, multiple times. This harassment is just disgusting.
This is why we need Titanforged Loot returned to the game in its original Legion form. Nothing brought the playerbase together like showcasing their Titanforged Loot drops in a random battleground, sometimes increasing players competitive capability by tenfold all thanks to a Tittanforged Loot drop link.

Merc Mode is fine, if someone was going to afk a game on an alt, they will likely afk on their main too, the problem there is the player going afk, not the fact that they are mercing. at this point few pvpers actually care about faction pride. most have either played both sides or know people who play on both sides, or just know people from both sides.
you can’t merc brawls. im not going to say that trolling doesn’t happen because it does, we’ve had our own lead kicked by pugs a few times, but generally if you are leading instead of bossing people around, you won’t get kicked. but there will always be someone out there who peaked in 3rd grade mentally and doesn’t tolerate being told what to do, doubly so if the leader is a girl. if they kick you, oh well, they saved you from themselves, queue up for another.
Bruh I merc all day and go hard af.
Honestly been winning more merc than straight horde.
Also you can’t get wrecking ball in merc mode (massive humble brag I know)
you do realize half the time your team is getting carried by merc players
I used to lead ashran raids as an Alliance merc during wod. Sometimes people would get all whiny, but if none of them wanted to do it, I was willing.
Merc mode was honestly a major letdown from at the time an alliance-only player. They basically decided that instead of trying to work on the problems that were causing one faction to be phased out, that they would simply try to alleviate the consequences of playing the dominant faction, essentially driving the final nail in the coffin.
But now a few years down the road and the same thing is happening in PvE, they suddenly want to try to fix it.
Merc needs to be available for both sides or not available at all. I was doing bgs the other day on my low lvl alliance and it was this twink in the 40-49 bgs that I kept farming, after about 3 games I noticed him on my team. Blows my mind that when hordes losing at low lvl they can just go ally and we can’t
Horde queues are 4 mins now, i agree. remove merc mode
Shhhh, you aren’t supposed to tell them that geared Horde merc queue. It kills their conspiracy theory that Horde roll new lvl60’s and throw their games intentionally.
tbh most alliance teams that win are all alliance. alliance has less players but the alliance that queue are mostly geared compared to horde. the brawls prove this
it used to be pretty even but i think a lot are faction changing since the new patch (the geared players at least)
I dunno, I’d say less than half the time this happens.
It’s not that it’s intentional, I just think there’s more incentive for you to merc when you’re undergeared. You don’t really care if you win or lose, you’re just after the honor. I’m sure plenty of geared players merc up, but I’d say they’re in the minority compared to the people who are undergeared and do it for quick honor and do not care if Alliance lose.
As the poster above said, Brawls tend to be pretty even, and Horde can’t merc for those. Random BGs are actually misery on Alliance. It just really gets the noggin joggin.
I got 13 min queues as horde and 4 as merc.
I also win plenty as a merc and as horde; I queue merc because it’s quicker (plus my little undead looks damn good as a human too).
13 mins for a regular bg? the average wait time is 4 minutes.

Literally an hour ago. 13 minutes for horde queues. 4 minutes when merc.
there’s no way this is level 60 and if it is something is definitely wrong. horde queues haven’t been that long since before bfa for average wait time anyway
That was today, level 60 horde.
Shortest queue time I’ve had was like 9 minutes around Christmas.
And the 4 as merc has been consistent too.
