There was supposed to be body jewelry as a customization option for blood elves, though like Joy brought up maybe it was NPC only. But at least some people were offended by it by even a chance of it being an actual option.

Do we know that it’s being removed? That’s unfortunate if it is, more customization options is generally a good thing. Key word- option- as there always seems to be a group of people who are against options because… they wouldn’t ever have to use it?

It’s even sillier if its solely for NPCs and not PCs due to sexualization… like what’s even the reasoning there, that it’s not sexualized if an NPC does it but it is if the PC chooses to use it?

In a game where genocide, heads on pikes, torture are the norm- body jewelry is just one step too far. As if you’d really prefer to associate with someone who killed thousands of innocent people over someone who wears a silver chain around their thighs.

The body jewelry that some loudmouthed males hated thinking they speak for ALL women. The same situation when they got in heat because at one point female blood elves were going to have a bigger bust, but men got offended on “my behalf” (that I never asked for).

I never saw any of this, all I saw was positive reactions that ranged from “that’s cool” to … Uh … NSFW would probably be the best way to put it.

That kind of thing doesn’t belong in this game imo.
I didn’t speak out about it because I was feigning offense to represent women.
I spoke out for it because it’s an inappropriate thing to make body jewelry for the hips and thighs of the most sexualized race and gender in the game.
That is just not a good precedent to set for characters and races moving forward.

Realistically this is nothing though. Datamining causes a lot of discussions to happen that never would have otherwise.

That doesn’t make sense it’s already ingame. Literal statues of Blood Elf women in less conservative looking robes.

As for jewelry how would this be even considered offensive? Seriously…Re-read that sentence. Jewelry.

I want more dainty robes/dresses and then a lot of woman will glee in unison and harmony. That we have these killer options now. (As we have no shortage of complete coverage and full on armor look.) I don’t think this will bother the men either. They can even go the other way with more goth looking stuff. Even the one dress I keep pointing them to. The one they created. Less busy work so I can utilize new customization.
