yeah I think my current ram is an expo kit, probably all the more reason you and lily are right in that I should just sit on it for the foreseeable future and not try to upgrade it.
If you dont turn on Exp Profile you are NOT running a 6000mhz. You are running at JEDEC defaults. Turn on you Expo II Profile!
yea I’ve had it on, atm I have the expo profile and turbo x3d enabled.
Disable “Turbo” or set it to “Auto”. It can cause voltage issues. Next Enable Curve Optimizer. Set it to ALL CORE -15. Call it a day. Just make sure you are doing a Negative offset not positive. -15 is what you want.
Enjoy lower temps and better performance
hey shifty what are your thoughts on upgrading my 6700XT? Would it be worth it do you think to go for a 7800 XT, would that be a fairly smart choice or does something else come to mind for a similar price range?
RTX 5070 when they drop at the end of Jan for that price range. I never have a good experience on AMD GPUs. I dont like their drivers or how they function. So I stick with Nvidia this is 100% my own personal opinion though.
If you can afford more? Id save for the RTX 5080. If that means sticking with what you have for a few months longer till you can afford a 5080? Id do just that. This is my own personal Opinion.
can’t afford it, I like spending money too often and stay brooooke
I’m thinking 7800XT or possibly the RTX4070, can’t really swing more than that cause ima scrub hehe
RTX 4070 Super. Or if you want till be REALLY smart? Wait till After Jan 30th when the RTX 5000 cards drop. 4000 series cards prices will plummet. With that said the The RTX 5070 is expected to cost $549
So either way id wait for the new cards to drop before you start shopping.
really? hmm ok sounds good then. I’ll wait till after jan 30th like you said.
swarf hawk swoops in n snatches up that swifty advice n flaps away into da sunset wif it…
AMD 9700 rasterization looks impressive if rumors are true and at $479 it may be a price/performance winner, also the AIBs have gotten pretty good on selling out old inventory on most sites so they will price the RTX4XXX to performance against the RTX5XXX but don’t bet on supplies lasting long for the more popular partners.
