Even AFTER this “fix” I seem to have issues… BUT I am also dependant on my TellMeWhen icon showing that I have the 5 icicles, not any other UI display. Swapping out Lucid Dreams FEELS like the GS cast is "more reliable,"while running with Lucid Dreams feels less reliable.

I just created a Weak Auras icon for the icicles but yes I am thinking that with this bug and terrible RNG with this spec it’s not going to be worth playing it anymore.

I’m spending more time on rogue lately until this can be fixed, otherwise I just may main rogue since I don’t have very good luck with the other mage specs

Still broken. Close to half the time I am showing 5 icicles, I still can’t cast GS.
Still broken. Lucid Dreams Major OR minor, if you just spam ice lance to proc Lucid Dream, you eventually get a icicle over your head, the vers proc, but NO actual increment to the “Icicles” buff. This is a significant dps loss over other azerite. Just fix it already for crying out loud.

The “fix” to just track icicles with a weak aura is not a fix. The nature of its behavior right now is that we lose the actual functional part of why we take lucid dreams which is the free icicles.

Please blizzard for the love of god fix this, its been on going for a LONG TIME now. Is there no pride in work anymore? I don’t mean to rant but some of us enjoy frost and prefer to play it! not everyone wants to be a FOTM player. I have been frost since 5.2 basically and enjoy it as such. Here are some shots this is FAR more than just cosmetic…

see this? 5 icicles overhead, no GS flurry procd this is aggravating, and before someone else pipes in its cosmetic, go thru first link, shots got some procs of lucid minor verse active and heal procd, 5 icicles NO stacks at all but they overhead, so while there is a component of visual to this it is failing to add the stack about 75-100% of the time in my own findings.
apologies about the rant, but man this sucks and it is highly aggrivating.

Are you spamming slowfall to cheese procs during movement or something? Non-damaging spells can proc lucid, but won’t give you the actual icicle buff, however, they will still show a shard over your head. EDIT: Yep, checked your images and see the slowfall.
Your best bet is to either not use LD, or ignore the shards over your head and just use a weakaura to track the actual buff stacks. They do need to fix this though. At least the shards that are generated from actual spells still work properly.
If you look it also procd verse, and in later shots it repeated same effect while in combat, it is flat out failing to apply the minor stack. it is game breaking. If you get the verse proc it should be applying a stack. in the shot from today I had full icicles overhead and lucid going, only 3 stacks this cripples DPS especially when you have a disability.
I was simply showing that it is more than just cosmetic and needs to be addressed and it says spells and abilities, it doesn’t define between offensive and defensive / beneficial.
I have video recorded of incombat of it doing the exact same thing. Full icicles and only 3 stacks or 4. flurry procd can’t launch GS. I shouldn’t need to use an addon to play a game that already has visual indicators built in. I get your trying to help but this is a bug submission and I got ample amounts of evidence on what and how this is broken. If this spec was havoc DH or one of the top performing specs this would be jumped on long before now. This has been on going since december of last year.

You get the idea, I got about 6 gb worth of evidence, and only used Slow fall as an example I spend a lot of time on this character and went from a 95% perf average for my ilvl and spec to 30. I enjoy frost and agree with you on the aspect that it needs fixed.

I replied to you in the other thread you posted in about this. Good job catching solid evidence of it. Maybe this is why frost has been underperforming so badly lately. I quit using the GS build because I was tired of it bugging out and have been using a TV+VoP build to net me higher DPS anyways.

This is deeply annoying because the icicle DOES seem to exist for the purposes of being fired off with a frostbolt at a “fake” stack of 5, but for whatever reason does not count towards glacial spike.
yah just never interupt anything ever or blink … or cast ice barrier, decurse…ect…
. lmao . no really it still doesnt work with flurry or frostbolt
meaning its useless even in other frost specs

Broken for me to, I switched out of a GS build into something different until I can get the right gear for Fire.
