Would it be possible to do all content with a guild comprised entirely of ‘meme’ specs?
Obviously there will be dedicated Healers and Tanks, but let’s say that the healing priests were all specced shadow, or the Shaman were specced as enhance.
Who thinks this would work out?
pretty sure even meme specs can generate sufficient dps in raid appropriate gear to down all dps checks so yeah why not
The math is there. You can complete every piece of raid content in the game with 0 talent points spent.
Since talents only make you better, yeah, your spec doesn’t matter if your gear is decent and players have a brain.
A Russian guild posted their logs in the paladin discord server a while back. They had 40 paladins in MC. Took them like 6 hours, and they wiped waaaaay too many times, but they did in fact kill Ragnaros.
Here is 40 priests killing Ony in actual Vanilla. With 14 years of additional experience and understanding, I’m sure you can clear all the content with any combination of classes/specs as long as you have enough tanks and healers to physically survive the fight.
That being said, why would you want to? It has all ready been done, there is nothing new to gain or prove by “meme’ing” in Classic.
To have fun, I reckon.

Sadly Min max side doesn’t like fun
A group of 40 shamans cleared Molten Core. So you can probably get away with a lot of goofy things there. Would get a lot harder in BWL and probably gets near impossible in AQ and beyond.
Feral tanks can tank basically everything sufficiently enough. The only thing you’d have trouble with is Nefarian on the druid class call. You’d kinda just have to get lucky on Nef with a druid tank.

Not true. Instead, what one person considers fun is not the same as what another considers fun. Just because we (those who don’t care to go to extremes to min/max) wouldn’t find it fun doesn’t mean they can’t.
And the opposite, of course. What we find fun might be very unfun to the min/maxer mindset - deliberately gimping our character or making content more challenging.
Fun, an interesting challenge to take a break from a monotony of over-powered zoom clears, any number of reasons.
The same could be said for clearing raids with a min/max team. It has already been done. Was done 15 years ago even. Repeatedly. One could say there’s nothing new to gain or prove by min/maxing in WOW Classic or doing raids at all in WOW Classic.
You can have a full guild of druids and raid as a full guild of druids.
plus a hunter for trank shot.

I’m interested in the opposite meme. It is known that the most min-max class is warriors, and raids like to stack them. I want to see it pushed to the limit. 40 warriors, no healers, just damage… so much damage. And 40 last stands. I wonder if they can clear MC.
Oh hey that’s not a bad idea, you would need a rotation of tanks to mitigate the damage across the whole raid with each warrior on line for tanking as time pushes on. If well organized its most likely possible because of how damn strong warrior DPS is.
Is tranq really hunter only in vanilla, druids cant soothe a raid boss or whatever?
coudnt do BWL then, not sure if there is tranq mechanic in aq or naxx tbh
It is possible and doable but it would take a hell lot of time. Takes like 5 hours for a geared raid complete MC using meme specs because the DPS difference between classes in vanilla can be over 300%.
Yeah I tried being enhance pve for a while then I realized rogues literally do like 300% more damage than I do if I have bad rng, and 150-200% more if I had good rng.
so now im healer but elemental, the ele/resto spec. its fun
Don’t quote me on this, but I’m pretty sure Nef only does class calls for classes present in the encounter.
EVERY call would be druid call.
