'Member when...?

'Member when druids had the channeled ability “Hurricane…?” And clouds appeared above the targeted area and lightning rained down?

Whatever happened to that? I miss it.

thread actually makes me remember when the forums had their biggest meltdown;
Has to be Pathfinder in Legion. Posters were going crazy. Like i thought the enchanting changes feedback were bad, but anything Flying related, players lose it…

I see your Legion pathfinder and raise you the first announcement of Flight being possibly full on removed before WoD. It was truly the Great Flight Debate/War and it had…a number of casualties.

Insanely boring gameplay tho.

Yeah. Was a cool spell visually but was basically just a mage blizzard. Loved casting starfall then hurricane haha. I miss some of the lost abilities. :')

Remember when warlocks had to farm soul shards before raid so they could summon people? When it took a shard to summon a demon and if you didn’t time shadow burn right, you wouldn’t get refunded a soul shard? Good times.

I remember standing at a target dummy for an hour a day farming soul shards…horrifying times.

I remember where rogues demanded shamans in their raid group for wind fury.

I haven’t shut up about it since they took it away. I hate that they took away the actual nature spells from druids and made an entire spec basically a priestess of the moon. It’s entirely too night elf centric and completely kills the fantasy for any other druid race.

'Member when you could wear tabards in a dungeon to gain rep from all the stuff you killed? :upside_down_face:

Ooh, and 'member when professions had cool perks like special gems, bonus strength, a little heal, a belt clasp, etc. ?

I’ll see your Flight Cancellation and raise you the Real ID fiasco.

Warcraft Druids are definitely weird. They don’t fit the typical fantasy Druid mold because of the Lunar/Cosmic stuff - even though that stuff is tied to Elune and therefore “Life Magic”.

I think the fantasy is great for Night Elves and Tauren, and it’s fine for Worgen (since they have Night Elf origins). It is a little weirder for the others.

The real nature magic seems to mostly be a Restoration thing now.

I mean…it should have always been a shaman thing. The real crime is a class having lightning and wind(fury) as a core mechanic and Druids have rando wind spells. Hurricane, cyclone, etc.

Vanilla had a lot of identity overlap though.

As much as I dislike the astral Garbo the space chicken has devolved into, at least it’s a unique spec.

'member when Paladins had to seal/judgement . . . and auto attack?

'member when hunters had to leave Karazhan mid raid to restock on ammo?

'member when hunter pets actually had fun and unique abilities?

'member when Paladins and Warriors wore mail until level 40 . . . but paladins were pigeonholed into healing anyways so sometimes wore cloth?

'member when shadow priests were mana batteries for the raid?

'member when alliance shaman . . . didn’t exist?

'member when warrior defensives had a 30 minute cooldown?

'member when you were a night elf trying to get to Stormwind corpsewalking across the Wetlands?

'member when people would raid capital cities because a single guard could not be killed by a single enemy player?

'member when you got excited to finally get 100g . . . only to spend it all at your class trainer?

'member when Carrot on a Stick was the best trinket ever . . . because of it’s 3% mount speed increase?

'member when we were promised a Dance Studio? Remember how they never gave it, and then proceeded to joke about how it was never coming? I remember -_-. I will never forgive.
