Melting Away the WowBod

Not everyone but most people add a few pounds each year through poor eating habits. After 20 years of Wow, surely there are some who could use some helpful advice to lose or change the wowbod.

Refined sugars are your enemy. The goal should be to stop eating processed foods and sugar. Doing these 3 things may be helpful to reach your health goals.

  1. No Soda (No Diet either) pop. Drink Water/ Black Coffee/ Tea (no sugar added)
  2. No Alcohol. Find an alternative that suits you.
  3. No fast food. Replace fast food with high fiber fruits and vegetables that take up volume in your stomach (grapes, bananas, yogurt).

A person who eliminates these 3 things from their diet and replaces them will see their body melt away. After 3 months of consistency those extra pounds that have added up over the years will be gone.

Hopefully this helps someone out there.

Good advice. Also, remember to shower.

I would add to this: The sun is good for you.

That “meme” people like to throw around of “touch grass” is actually one of the best advices anyone could get. Make it a point to get out of the house at least once a day and let the sun hit your face and ground yourself to earth. It does A LOT to boost your mental health, and Vitamin D is incredibly beneficial.

Get a dog, and make sure you have to walk him everyday. That walk alone can save your life.

I’ve been an avid gym goer for about 16 years now. Throughout that time I’ve never been consistently strict with my food. But I’ll go through phases where I really knuckle down. And yeah, really obvious things do make a lot of difference over time. You don’t even have to do all these things at once. If you have two sugars in your coffee, switch to one. Halve the amount of soda you drink per week if cutting it all out is too hard. Or hell, drink diet. It’s a vast improvement. Or the good old fashioned cheat meal/day. It really helps you keep your sanity. Me, I actually do a cheat weekend. Super strict during the week, but then from friday evening through to Sunday afternoon, it’s anything goes. You can’t actually do that much damage in that time since you’re still limited by physiology. You get full!

3 cans of pop in one day will destroy your liver. Fatty liver disease. Just start punching your liver it’s the same thing

Get some exercise. Do a half an hour before you log on to WoW.

Get yourself a elliptical machine, exercise bike, or tread mill if you can. After you eat do another half hour while watching some show, or browsing these forums.

Don’t eat while gaming. Get your hands off those Cheetos/Doritos while at your computer. If you make snacks less convenient, you will have less of them.

Best thing to do: get your steps in

But if it only has one calorie, what is there to burn? I think that comes to 1/4th of a gram of glucose.

Lol my body is pretty fine, it’s mostly bad posture from sitting in a chair and leaning in way too much when getting invested in gaming ahaha.

I pride myself in being a good-smelling gamer. We’re an endangered species.
