? What are you even talking about.
The assumption is if someone is locking you out for 15s then you have multiple players applying CC, especially if you are taking into account trinkets etc.
OR they are using soft CC which is largely irrelevant as they can’t keep you CC’d for 15s and damage you, because you know soft CCs breaks on damage.
So either you’re talking about combat including multiple players, or you are insinuating a contrived situation.
Except for the fact that several melee classes with multiple gap closers and their own roots, stuns, and snares can be completely immune to CC for enough time to kill you. It’s not just the mobility, it’s the insane, insta burst DPS that several classes have right now.
Same as it ever was, WoW has always had a melee fetish. Shadow priest actually doing well?..can’t have that, nerf. Ret?..Hmm, can’t kill someone inside of one stun, we have to fix that.
If you had been following the conversation I literally gave an example of a CC chain of just a single warrior, who is able to CC you from one pummel interrupt to the next. There was zero assumption of multiple players applying CC.
You literally made up a situation in your own head instead of responding to what I actually said.
isnt scatter shot and binding shot mixed together now? like you pick one or the other?
also, im more of to say i hate how long stuns stay up for, for certain classes… like paladins with what a 5sec stun?
or rogues with back-to-back stuns?
Ok, first you got Pummelled so you made the mistake anyway. 2nd trinket the Stormbolt. So now you have 9s until their next interrupt. They can now interrupt you with Fear and…do nothing until their next interrupt, in which case you have a) taken no damage and b) they have no further ways to CC you after their next interrupt leaving you with 15s to free cast.
So like I said, either there are multiple players OR the situation is contrived.
Basically all you’ve said is “yes the situation is contrived and requires me to not be touching my keyboard”.
Either they have all their cds and so do you, or neither of you have all your cds, otherwise the situation is contrived to be biased towards an outcome.
With one button you have prevented either the entire duration of the CC, or the entire ability for the warrior to continue to deal damage.
Paladin’s is mostly reasonable due the fact they don’t provide any other non-soft CC ontop of it, as well as it being dispellable.
Rogues or DH that have either long duration undispellable or multiple forms to hard CC I’d imagine is more an issue.
1–Again you show you didn’t read the convo, as what I responded to was the person who actually said to intentionally get interrupted in order to get several seconds of time to free cast once the interrupt was on CD, hense me pointing out that many classes have CC that lasts long enough for their interrupt to be back off CD and using the warrior as an example. If you read it, you would realize that I was pointing out that intentionally getting interrupted was a bad idea.
2–Remind me what’s the CD of Stormbolt. Good now what’s the CD of pvp trinket? If I trinket Stormbolt why wouldn’t the warrior just wait until he could land his next pummel with Stormbolt off CD? Especially since it has 1/4th the CD of my pvp trinket I have now used.
3–So no the situation wasn’t contrived, and you continue to spout out nonsense in a desperate attempt to disprove a rebuttal to a comment you clearly did not read and as such don’t even understand the context.
You are not doing very much to help your case here, you just look foolish.
Competent players don’t have problems getting away from melee. I played 482 rounds of solo shuffle this week already, and I can tell you with absolute certainty that the only ranged class that can’t kite double melee indefinitely is warlock. Hunter is the easiest to do it on, you have enough CCs and escape to kite 2 melee the entire 5 minutes.
The game is balanced around competent players. You get to see the difference between a good hunter and a bad hunter all the time.
Good huntering is about kiting in the right direction, you should always be trying to make a line segment of you - your healer - the enemy. Priest is heckin fast, though. Feather + PWS keep them melee on their toes.
