Casters and ranged players feel entitled to never be killed by a melee class ever.
Sure, let’s remove double time. Let’s remove shadow step. Let’s remove fel rush.
While we’re at it, let’s remove blink, let’s remove disengage, let’s remove demonic portal.

I agree the OP’s rhetoric is a little overheated, but I lost both Flicker and Shining Force, and also the Vault of Heavens legendary effect. Psychic Scream, fully talented, is usable once every 30 seconds. Just how the heck am I suppose to keep a gap open long enough to cast something against a Rogue, Warrior, Demon Hunter, or Death Knight?
Juke casts. Bait them into interrupting you, oh look at that, you get several seconds of hardcasting.
Not to mention Spriest being one of the best casters in the game even after nerfs.

whoops! all TWO of my “many” gap-closers have now been rendered useless. And as I try and figure out some way to get to you … the ENTIRE TIME you’re shooting me.
This is what stupid ranged classes REFUSE TO UNDERSTAND. You have ADVANTAGES … and when you run out of ADVANTAGES … you’re SUPPOSED TO DIE.
That’s called: you have some, and I have some. The game of PvP is you try and maximize what you have while I’m doing the same.
If you’re not using things to your advantage, if you can’t overcome TWO ABILITIES … git gud.

I guess only if the Warrior is too dumb to follow up with Storm Bolt, Spell Reflection, or Intimidating Shout.
I’ve never played Shadow so I wouldn’t know.
And you can’t play around any of those? You can’t trinket the storm bolt? You can’t sit the intimidating shout and juke the next cast? You can’t swp to eat the spell reflect?
Then you shouldn’t be dying to a single warrior at all.
I definitely feel like “rooting” effects were stronger before.
Now that everyone has two charges, leaps, teleports, dashes etc. what is the point of roots? Like, they still have a purpose, but WAYYYY less useful than in the early expansions.
I feel everyone can get out of a root easily, and they are hard to reapply sometimes, because cooldowns.
TLDR - Mobile power creep ruins rooting effects
At the very least, it’s hard to kite all these melee these days.
And with how saturated the game is with melee rn, they need to dial it back.

I wish, I would love to have spectral guise, greater fade, leap of faith pulling me instead of my target, etc etc.
Other classes may of gotten this treatment, priest sure as hell didn’t lol.
Ok this nonsense needs to stop. Say i “bait them to interrupt me” on say a war. Thats a 4 second lock out on an ability with a 13 second CD so by the time I can cast again its down to 9, add stormbolt for another 3, so 6 - 4 if they where smart enough to let the cast almost finish with pushback, and then they have fear.
They can literally cycle all the way through till their interrupt is back off CD to do it again and considering healers are playing with a 30% nerf from dampening, just no.
The idea of juking/baiting interrupts had relevance back when every class didn’t have enough CC to lock you down till it was back off CD and the healer was nerfed automatically for daring to set foot in arena.

Literally just use your abilities my man, priests have no problem vs warriors.
I think people forget that when melee has run out of any mobility they’re no longer able to even deal damage.
A ranged without mobility left can still bait an interrupt and keep doing damage.
A melee without any mobility can’t do anything but walk towards a target. They can only take damage at this point, and not deal any, which means they’re no longer progressing an encounter from their side.
I think Havoc and Rogues probably need some more nerfs, but I wouldn’t say it needs to be their mobility.
A – Not all priestd play shadow
B – What part of CCed from one interrupt to the next makes you think I am able to use my abilities, or do you not realize interrupted and CCed casters, with few exceptions, can’t use their abilities while CCed or interrupted?

Also, I wouldn’t care if this DID NOT mean that melee would have less mobility in dungeons and raids.
You cannot have a balanced game with two opposite modes of gameplay.

I did some FFA pvp a few weeks ago on this charm, people didn’t seem very happy trying to kill a Prot Paladin
You have half a dozen ways to restrict/stop/get away.
Maybe use them instead of just Steady Shot.

If you’re disc then you shouldn’t be having problems against a single warrior. If multiple people are targeting you, yes, you’re going to die. Your team mates have to peel you. That’s how it works. You should be able to die.
If you’re holy, you should be playing disc.
Fair enough. My point was that Holy Priest lost a lot of mobility since the end of Shadowlands. The days of kiting are long gone for most casters. Why do melee classes deserve to have 100% uptime on their targets?
