Well, it’s very clear you are either just straight up lying or have played very little pvp. Ret is honestly the worst melee dps right now. Also, it isn’t my main lol my main is a shadow priest. Also, this is pvp I couldn’t care less about raids or pve content.
This isn’t a fact it’s just completely wrong. I think you’re stuck in dragonflight or something bud. Maybe get an update on your information.

And yeah, a good affliction warlock will push some horrifying volumes of damage out.
Not burst damage. Not like a warrior, rogue, DK etc…
Aff locks have ridiculous AOE stuff though.
In a 1v1 situation in a BG there is no way aan aff lock can burst down a melee such as a fury warrior.
Every BG ive done so far has warriors and other melee topping HK charts and damage.
The only caster that comes close is ice mage and you broken warriors are whining about the one caster that can compete and want ice mages nerfed.
Aff locks and Boomys can only do huge damage numbers in a big team fight where the DOTs rack up the numbers but none of it is burst damage and if a warrior is sitting the lock it will not be able to case bolts or rapture unless it procs instant cast.
