Melee hunter is not op. They are just a normal melee class now

First they are not op in PvP. A good PvP strat is still the old classic style, you have to stay in the range, and maybe new raptor strike can help finish off then enemy hp.
For pve, hunters only get 1 AP from either agi or str, which means the class starts with melee disadvantages. And eventually will be out pace by warriors and rogues once they have stacked enough stats. Plus hunters have the worst crit bonus from agi. My lvl 25 bm hunter has barely 9% crit with almost bfd bis, while my cat has 18% crit with 2 bfd loot. Since blizzard want to force hunter to go melee, even the PvP bow is melee stated. It’s fair for hunters to get some melee out back from runes.
Btw, all the other melee classes should thank the new melee hunter, as the bis weapon from gno, will be the two fist weapons. No more ninjia hunters

This place here isn’t the best place to expect anyone who doesn’t play your class to be reasonable. Especially after they got destroyed by said class. Devs did not do a good job with their reaction to the Druid nerf or fixing Eclipse. I wish you luck sir or ma’am. o7

Melee hunters are doing top damage in Gnomer with a 25% to 40% armor nerf to your damage.

How is this fine?

I know right?

Only Warriors are allowed to be top DPS!

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE IT IS!

No melee should be top dps with the armor additions to bosses.

If a melee is beating casters they are busted.

Doing top dps isn’t a problem. We don’t get paid or punish on dps meter. So it’s just a fun part of the game

As a hunter the last thing i want to do is play melee, why wouldnt i just roll a warrior lol

Don’t worry more hunter nerfs are coming.

Mutilate: requires daggers, instantly does normalized weapon damage with both weapons with a small damage bonus. 30% crit from talents, 20% bonus damage from talents, 20% bonus damage against poisoned targets. It takes 4 seconds to regenerate the energy it costs, so on average you can use it once every 4 seconds.

Raptor Strike: instantly does damage with both weapons with a large damage bonus. Not normalized. A slow one-hander does ~60% more damage than a normalized dagger. Gets 20% crit from talents, 30% bonus damage if you use two of the same kind of weapon. Gets a 10% damage bonus from flanking strike that can stack up to 3 times. 3 second cooldown and cooldown resets 30% of the time, so on average you can use it once every 2.55 seconds.

Seems balanced.

Feels like D4 damage scaling in WOW lol.

The fact that someone felt compelled to make this thread indicates to me that hunter’s melee attack is not balanced. And it’s clearly not based on evidence from warcraft logs and player experience.

LOL!

The average melee hunter is doing more DPS than 99th percentile 2nd place dps class. Shizz is completely broken.

They two different things. Pve wise they are the same as dps spells, you are saying raptor strike op only because it dose more dmg, but it didn’t break the game as pets used to do.
PvP wise, multilate is one of the best PvP skill. Meanwhile I still don’t see how hunters can hit anyone only with raptor strike. Maybe warriors but everyone can hit warriors anyway…. So it’s not an op skill which can make ppl quit.
If you want to cc ppl with traps and hit with rs, you will lose at least 30% of rs dmg. So it’s a fair trade off in PvP situation
