Fully agree. The only reason the servers factions are so imbalanced is blizzard allowed free transfers in the first place.
Would be ideal for both servers, but Blizzard will only see the dollar signs that doing nothing and forcing people to transfer eventually will bring.
Megathread is getting me sweaty!
Makes me wonder what the long term cost of maintaining an essentially dead server and losing subs would be once enough people leave
I fully support merges to fix some of the server population issues, although PvP servers arenât the only ones that need some attention.

Currently, Mankrik is the only option for a solid, high pop Horde PvE server. And if youâre from the West, your two best options are a quarter of the Mankrik Horde population. This isnât too big of an issue now, but it will be come TBC when everyone returning as PvE Horde rolls on the same server, thus creating an over-population and massive queues for weeks possibly months.
I support this idea 100%. No world PVP in TBC would suck, but as someone with 5+ level 60s, paid transfers to a more balanced realm just wouldnât be feasible, and I know many others are in the same position. Heartseeker also has a great alliance community with tons of guilds running their own Naxxes every week, but also plenty of pug soft reserve and GDKP runs as well. It would suck to see that community destroyed because everyone felt the need to transfer off to a more balanced server.
Unfortunately think this is correct. Everyone has been advocating for server merges for months and blizzard has said nothing. Too much money to be made from people who want a decent experience
this is me, screaming into the abyss that is blizzard, agreeing to the OP
yes please!
dont do this blizzard
One thing iâve seen brought up a few times is how merges would be handled with folks whom for example have an alliance on Heartseeker and their horde counterpart on Skeram on the same account. Maybe a free xfer to another PVP server on the alliance or horde character in this scenario would by pass this issue?
Imagine spending the last 2 years being the absolute scum of the earth to everyone on your server and then crying âBUT THINK OF THE COMMUNITYâ
Hardly believe Oneshotmacro is the âscum of the earthâ. Iâd love to see examples of him personally exhibiting the behavior youâre describing.
Just because you are constantly angry and dislike everyone Gso doesnât mean that you also decide to nitpick something that isnât even really relevant to the discussion.
I really think this is the idea of liking World PVP but when it actually comes to it, World PVP is quite toxic and very undesirable. Rarely you get a the cool 1 v 1 as a random encounter, and far more often itâs the 5 v 1 steamroll which is fun for no one. In phases 2 through 4 when world buffs were totally not needed due to how easy the content was these servers became completely one sided due to how toxicity of World PVP. Forcing players to transfer off of a realm as a potential solution to a change being implemented is really an awful solution. Neither realm is a low population realm to begin with and by combining them you will also get one of the most overcrowded servers. I really think world pvp is being looked through rose tinted glasses, but it has to be acknowledged that everyone on Heartseeker is not there because it had good faction balance, but rather it was favored for alliance.
As the number one ret on the server I can confirm nobody likes almost.
I did later on. Feel free to read.
Well letâs see I know he has described himself as Exit Strategies sister guild, the same guild who leveled horde to actively purge and kill members of their own faction. Also the same guild that invited someone to raid with them, promised them loot and then screwed them over. Oh and then both Tempest and ES members celebrated this in world chat, so Iâd say itâs pretty apt. This server has no community because it tolerates and celebrates anti-social behavior from subhumans.
100% agree with this post! The future of our server is in jeopardy if left as is and most of us ended up on an unbalanced server at no fault of our own. It would be incredible if Blizzard could show that they actually hear us and want to work with their subscribers, donât let us down! Donât force us into chopping up our guilds in search of a better server when there is a simple solution.
Something definitely needs to be done about server imbalances. After phase 3 there is no cross-faction interaction at all on either of these servers.
He doesnât want to go anywhere. He wants to force thousands of others to go somewhere that he prefers.
