Mega server PvP to PvE Please

I am so done with this. I rolled on pvp because that is what my friends picked, but this is not pvp. This is just straight griefing. Literally same alliance group just killing in Thorium Point over and over. No honor and yet there they are. I am done with this pvp server. If i can’t move to pve will probably just quit.

Thanks for sharing that pvp is happening on pvp servers.

I’m sure you’ll be missed … by someone … somewhere … somehow … maybe … possibly … I guess … or not.

first things first, rolling a PvE server on a game that specifically has 2 factions at war is the most cringe femboy take in the game

that being said, Zachaios, either you’re a troll or you’re being extremely disingenuous.

World pvp is fun when you run into someone in a 1v1, it adds excitement to the game, but the majority of world PvP that OP talking about is being largely outnumbered and camped.

unless you fight keyboard turning mouse clicking spell noobs theres no way in hell you’re going to come out of it on top. The percentage of people who can 1v3 is extremely low, and the amount of times they actually pull off a 1v3 is very rare.

But please do enlighten me how you’re better than whaaz, snutz, raiku, chanimal, etc, or any other r1 who still 99% of the time loses a 1v3 or 1v4 situation.

Thanks Kek,
Extremely well written verse my ranting. I couldn’t even complete the BRM dailies on my 56. I spend 20 minutes out of the 60. Waiting for rez timer and probably another 10 with running to corpse.

I was underedlevel, outmanned and could get room to breathe as soon as I rez I was dead again.

The worst part is that if servers merge, every single streamer is going to be there with us, which is pretty much the worst thing that could happen, we are already outnumbered on all the pvp servers, so the faction balance is going to be so skewed that you may as well not play at all.
Please let us move from PVP to PVE, otherwise you will make a lot of people to stop playing, I never signed for a mega PVP server. That was never the idea or intention and we never got told any about this.

I think that the core issue comes from how certain choices were made.
Thorium point being the most atrocious example, which I get it man, It’s really annoying to try to grab the quests while you’re getting spam AOE’d by everyone. But I feel like the issue there is that everyone is being funnelled to those NPCS at the exact same time which encourages that type of behavior.
I see no issue in letting us pick up those quests whenever we want and only being able to do them once the event is active. That way you can just have them ready and start doing them instantly when you get the event buff without having to go through that initial phase of getting AOE farmed.
The other thing that people might find annoying is the BRM event that basically just translates to a faction camping the hallway and instantly killing anyone. Sure, it’s not really fair or that fun for the person getting killed but I don’t mind it especially with the STV post death buff that makes it easier for you to get to your dungeon before getting farmed. At the end of the day, that is still PVP and there’s always options to create a fun skrimish there because of that.
Overall, I think pvp servers are still the way to go even with the annoyances. I do think any form of player funneling to a specific small area will always lead to griefing but that’s just questionable design choices most of the time.

Sounds like you rolled on a pvp server to pvp but now can’t handle what you signed up for. This is fine it happens a lot and is nothing to be embarrassed about. Lucky for you the xfers will let you come to wild growth like the rest of the sod population did! Pvp is meant to be for other versions of wow not classic so I’m glad you finally figured that out, sorry it was the hard way though. Hope you have a great day Metaljack! :people_hugging:

As I’ve said on many other threads … pvp problems require pvp solutions.

Anyone who runs into a mob of the opposing faction solo is a masochist and is looking to be ganged up on and killed.

This is not a solo playing game and if you play it solo on a PvP server then please see above.

Nowhere did I claim/reference anything you’re trying to gaslight with your novel.

I still think Blizzard needs to put a disclaimer on PvP servers similar to what they did for hardcore servers. If you can’t handle it then don’t play on one. Period.

I didn’t come to SoD until phase halfway through phase 3. My old guild was already playing so I just followed them without thinking. As I always played on PVP. I started on Blackrock when WoW first came out.
I asked why they picked RPPVP and it was because they were making choice based on the server Asmon was not going to be on. They said by the time they realized he changed servers (I guess final minute decision), most of the guild was commited and didn’t want to change.
From what I have experience, leveling in Ashenvale Nightmare incurisions ramp, getting BRD during BRM, and trying to do BRM quests or just get and turn in. This is no PVP of the old day. This is just straight griefing fest.

BTW the motto that get said alot over in our discod is. “Never again”. Never again will we pick a pvp server going forward.

For once i can understand what you mean 100%. I too always picked PVP servers as most other servers just outright die in the first month and most of the try hards go to the mega pvp. Glad to see a shift in playerbase to pve servers. I left CS and rerolled about 2 months ago and it was the best choice of my life. Only thing im waiting on is xfers so i can take my incursion gold from early phases over to my new main on Wild Growth. Never again will i pick pvp servers xD Hope you have a great day Metaljacx! :people_hugging:
