I just bought df and for the love of god i cant figure out how to get up. A dam bird showed up beside me with “lightning strikes” quest, i cant find any info how to do it on google… any help be muchly appreciated.
I think you have to do the introductory quests in the Waking Shores first, which eventually lead to you learning dragonflying. Depending on how fast you play it might take a couple of hours. Once you learn dragonflying getting to Skytop Observatory will be easy.

I love the Dragonflight expansion, but it can be very confusing for people who didn’t play it when it first launched. They’ve added so much content that nobody knows what to do when or where to go next.
There might be a teleport pad on the ground somewhere nearby. I vaguely remember this. There has to be some sort of assist or boost around because they include one near anything that would otherwise take dragon flying.
