Mechasaur curio

The curio description says that while in the egg, the Mechasaurs will taunt enemies. Has anyone ever actually had this happen?

I don’t think so, I don’t remember it ever happening and I completely forgot that was supposed to be a feature of it so I’m going with no.

Once. But, doesn’t hold for very long. Had it on my hunter, and Mend Pet gained aggro from that. Though, the mini mechasaur is cool looking; kinda evens out.

Taunts them mockingly, not like a tank taunt

My assumption is that the egg taunts, but probably breaks straight away from 1 mob hit due to it not having a lot of HP.

I think I’ve seen it pull ankle biters to it in the center gauntlet of that one Underkeep version. Other than that it seems to land in the middle of a pull and my felguard is grabbing the aggro.

Oh, it taunts alright. When my pet has nothing better to do. It’s over there helping it to hatch.

I wish, for me the eggs start off with like 800 million HP and are unbreakable for the few seconds when they should be (but arent) taunting

I don’t even have eggs pop up at all now.

You leave it alone it will hatch on it’s own. I just kind of ignore and move on.

I use em for there stomps tbh. It could melt bosses real fast before the nerfs . It still take away a good chunk now, provided the timing is right… And they don’t bug and stay next to Bran doing the good puppy routine.

You sure it’s 800m and not 800 thou?

I’m only doing 8’s at the moment, so might be the difference if you’re going higher.

Yeah. Even on 8s, it starts out at 800m health for like 5 seconds before dropping to 800k. I assume because the egg is meant to taunt and Blizz doesnt want it to break immediately, but since it doesnt taunt, it just results in having to wait longer till I can actually break the egg open.

I shall taunt you a second time!

No, but when I attempted to get it to taunt by pulling things closer to it I discovered that if you stand on top of an egg it will hatch immediately. You don’t have to attack them or wait that long duration for them to hatch, just stand on the egg.

Ok, perhaps I hadn’t noticed that then. I’ve never had trouble breaking them, but also don’t usually attack them right away.

Just another bug to add to the list then!

Delves, Curios and Brann are all bugged like crazy. Incredibly frustrating.

No. And it feels like Brann only lays an egg once every 45 mins or so, too.

IKR…egg drops and my felguard and imps target it…meanwhile the mobs are like “So, umm…let’s get the warlock while they’re occupied”

It comes too rarely for me.

I still use it for the Underpin, but in delves I swapped to turrets.
