Is there any reason why healthstone is still locked out of combat and our gate have a 2 min cd? It made sense back then but now? What do you guys think?
I would of thought by now healthstone would now just have a moderate cd and at least gate be somewhat reduced from its 2min use
Ig because it’s counted as a consumeable and the blizzard interns don’t feel like making it a cd

Same reason devs don’t do lots of simple stuff that would make players happy: it would make players happy
Gateway Cooldown have the same reason of why any other cooldown, because they it to be used once every 2 minutes at best, in particular, it shares this cooldown length with other raid-wide movement abilities like Stampeding Roar and Wind Rush Totem.
Now, some argument could be said that different warlocks gateways shouldn’t be controlled by the same limiting 2min CD (like the Bloodlust/Timewarp/Heroism) and i can see some sense on that.
But at the same time, there is an argument to say that Demonic Gateway is a more powerfull effect than simple movespeed as many times it flatout ignores or trivializes some game mechanics or is just required and as such they don’t want to give raids acess to “gateway stacking” where each gateway have a different cooldown.
Lockrocks is a similar situation, in short, they want to limit how many times you can consume a Healthstone in a fight to 1, introducing a CD and removing a limit would mean it can be used more than once depending on fight lenght.

I dont see an issue with heathstone CDs.
I remember heathstone having different functions for only the warlock through glyphs.
As for the gate, i can understand. Though surely these can be design in a way that wont break raid utility.

Maybe just make warlocks able to use gates more often than other players, since they would have more knowledge of them and would keep the secret to themselves, being selfish warlocks.
As a warlock, you already have acess to Demonic Circle: Teleport as well on a Cooldown of 30s, so you already have acess to teleport around more times than other people with just gateway.
Giving Warlocks acess to more Healthstones uses is something i would desire in the new talent tree, in part because i don’t like the current Heathston enhancement effects (Like HS conduit and azerite who both gave leech).
Yes, its a lot of leech, but a spec like demonology don’t gain a whole lot of healing from leech as the source of damage are your demons and leech from demon damages will only heal themselves.
I don’t think it actually needs to be there, for either of these tbh.
Gateway, while yeah it’s powerful but you can just as easily stack multiple Druids and Shamans for the same kind of effect; big movement speed boosts.
As far as Healthstones go, considering they lifted the Health Potion thing they need to now do the same to Healthstones and set them as a CD in combat. They can set it to once per 3 minutes or 2 minutes even, and reduce the healing from 25% HP to 20% or 15% HP. There could be a talent in the Warlock class tree to give an extra 5-10% healing from Healthstones to boost it up, or one to make it so everyone that uses a Healthstone also heals all Warlocks in the raid/party for the same amount.
Hearthstone needs a regular cd for the warlock specifically. Keep it once per combat for everyone else
