Mechagon: How do you use charging station?

I am sure it is simple but the game doesn’t explain this very well. On both characters Flux says to come back later or submit supplies. There is nowhere I can see to submit supplies. Earlier I was able to submit supplies but I didn’t have enough spare parts because I converted them to crates (why not also accept a create?!). I got the parts came back and same as it always is again. Flux won’t do jack and nowhere to submit them.

So how the heck does this work? I have ridiculous amount of empty cores on both my characters and I can’t do anything with them.

You know you can right click crates to break them back into parts right?

Becasue a crate is two hundred fifty parts and the charging station doesn’t cost nearly that much.

Ah … thanks. So how do I get the charging station available when I can’t submit supplies yet Flux is asking me to? It was available earlier but now it is not even though Flux still references submitting them.

To answer your actual question. You need to have completed the tutorial quest for it. It’s called something like “The first one’s free”. After that you have to help build it if it isn’t built, just like any other construction project. After THAT you need to give pay her spare parts and an energy cell to get a limited duration buff that gives you access to the charging station.

Ok I will assume when it was up originally it was a freebie from the quest. Then I came back later it timed out. Still, Flux refers to submitting materials (not exact quote) and I don’t see where to do this. I have not done a construction yet. Is it not done by the actual charging station?

Okay so the tutorial quest is “Your first charge is free!” Have you done that quest? If you have, you use the charging station during that, so if you don’t remember doing that you probably haven’t done the tutorial quest.

Without knowing what you have and haven’t completed I’ll try and walk you through unlocking the Charging Station.

  1. Complete the Mechagon Intro.
  2. Speak with Christy Punchcog (in Rustbolt) and complete the quest “Upgraded”.
  3. Speak with Christy Punchcog (in Rustbolt) and complete the quest “First One’s Free”.
  4. Speak with Flip Quickcharge (in Rustbolt) and complete the quest “Batteries Not Included”.
  5. Speak with Flip Quickcharge (in Rustbolt) and complete the quest “Your First Charge is Free!”.

Once that series of quests is done, you will have access to the Charging Station while it is available. Some things to take note of:

  • It is not always available.
  • It needs to be built by players donating parts.
  • It costs Spare Parts and 1 Energy cell to purchase the buff to use it while it is active.

Perfect. An answer to the question. Problem is; how often does the charging station become available. I have 60 depleted cores and zero station :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you, I rode around trying to find it. I had done the quests and given supplies, then it vanished. Went to flux and he said it was not up today. I don’t remember him explaining that when I did the quests. Wasted my time riding around trying to figure out where is was. Figured they moved it.

Well i always thought we need the blueprint that ALLOWS us to break a box of spare parts down into 250 spare parts. If not, then WHY is there a blueprint if you can just right click them?

Is there a point to charging them? Nothing I’ve created at Pascal has ever thrown up an error and I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten a ton by now and haven’t touched the charging station since the first time.
