Mechagon crafted rings and trinkets

So I have what may seem like a dumb question, but in the time I’ve been digging I haven’t found an answer as of yet.

My question is for the crafted 395 gear in mechagon. Is there a protection system?

I know these take a little longer to make than getting benthic gear so I was wondering if you have two good trinkets and go to the guy to make a 395 “ring or trinket” hoping for a ring. Is there any type of system so you don’t just waste mats and time hoping for the rng to make you a ring.

Kinda wish they would of separated these and just made it where it makes one or the other,

but like I said there may be some type of protection system so you don’t just waste your mats that you have to wait for dailies to get. Just seeing if there’s confirmation anywhere don’t think it would be a good feeling if it’s left to rng

I guess at this point in my gearing I’m ok either way. The best piece I have in any of those 4 slots is the Pocket Computational Device, fully loaded, so a 395 for any of the remaining 3 slots will be an upgrade.

I get that but what about when you get down to just one slot you’ll be doing world quests and waiting to have a 25% chance to get the one you need and then have to just wait and do it again till your next chance on the slot machine. That’s the only problem I have with it. It makes the experience feel more unnecessary and less of earning the gear
