Mechagnomes STILL REQUIRE REVERED TO UNLOCK IN SHADOWLANDS?

For the Pre-Patch on the 13th, Allied Races wil not require the Exalted reputation requirement for each Allied Race Unlock.

For mechagnomes, after you complete the series of quests on Mechagon, there is a final quest: “Operation Mechagon the Mechoriginator.” This quest is to kill King Mechagon (on any difficulty I believe) in the Mechagon dungeon, BUT you NEED TO BE REVERED in order for this quest to be available to you. With all the exalted reputation being removed in Pre-Patch, is there any word or information if this rep restriction will be required as well? Nevertheless, I think that the EXALTED rep requirement is removed, this one should be as well.

Any thoughts, or input on the topic would be much appreciated.

Why would exalted reputations be removed? This makes zero sense.

I’m pretty sure he meant for unlocking allied races.

I can see them removing the rep requirements for the Mechagon story like they did with the Suramar stuff. But honestly…it takes a week to get revered. So get working on it if you want to unlock them.

Because it was a dumb system that made no sense and hindered the game.

I already saved The Nightborne and freed their people, why the hell does it matter if i’m a few hundred points off exalted?

This’ll be the first gnome I’ve ever made. Mechagnome. Hooray.

I did finish it, I was using it as a example that tying the races to reputation is dumb.

You save a people from extinction and liberate their society, but unless you go save a few more turtles they want nothing to do with you.

Peoples commitment to doing their daily chores is admirable, but tying new races to storyline achievements is a million times better than rep.

I wasn’t being literal, I was injecting myself into the position of someone whose finished the storyline but hasn’t reach exalted.

Force of habit i’m a roleplayer, but that’s besides the point. The change to allied race is a net positive for the game.

Finish their questline, then unlock them.

Yes, they do still require revered in this case. The Exalted requirement is being removed, but the quest requirements remain.
