I’m sorry to all my friends who are looking forward to them but gosh they just look so gross to me. And it looks like they’re all in diapers. ;; Couldn’t we have gotten like, the funny looking little actual robot looking gnomes instead? Those ones are cool.
I wish I had a copper for everyone complaining about diapered mechagnomes. I can’t even see it.

For some reason, the team seems to value a race’s capacity to have facial emotions above all else.
You wanna know why we got the playable nightborne instead of the NPC ones? Facial emotions.
Same thing with the Mechagnomes. The full robot ones can’t emote.
C’est la vie. I still love the ones we’re getting.

I wanted to light the Nightborne and I got one to 120, but their broken idle animation and their faces just ruined the race for me. I was so excited about them.

I know. They’re a bit of a trainwreck. The heritage armor makes them look a bit better, but not by much.
The NPC models with their stiff faces would still be a vast improvement over what we have right now.

It makes me so sad that blizz actually wasted time and money on them.
So many better things people would actually play.
I would really love to know the reason behind them. Like which devs thought this was a good idea players would like!?

Think that what has got them in trouble with BFA , They are assuming they know what we like, they think they know what we want, but have been totally wrong especially with the Alliance Community.

Maybe they should take the time to read some of the Submitted Suggestions instead of playing Fortune tellers, or maybe they know but just don’t care. Either way its killing the Alliance Community.

when you’re an afterthought who never rocks the boat this is what happens. They don’t care. If they make a bunch of Alliance players quit but a similar amount faction xfer and keep playing after getting fed up, they make their money.

I just don’t really get why they went with Mechagnomes.
Yeah yeah, Mechagon, cool cool- why not use it as a chance to… add to the existing Gnomes? They’re already underloved lore wise and pretty consistently forgotten, the butt of every joke. Why add what’s essentially the Dollar Store version of Gnomes? So they can have another short race to neglect and pretend doesn’t exist?

I have no idea why they just don’t want to put any effort into making Alliance races look proper or unique like the Horde ones.
Both factions have got copypastas but this time they screwed us hard.

do they have voices yet? seem to recall first PTR hit the new races were voiceless.
Just wondering if they get a more reasonable voice. One of the reason mechagon just irks me. I guess the voice actor has voice pitch ranges owned by WB/DC so his more palatable voice pitches for Robin can’t be used.
Sooo…he went for some really frigging annoying pitches in BFA.
They could have done so much with Mechagnomes. Like little terminators but instead we get Partly Gnomes. I think anyone asking for a Mechagnome before this was asking for a fully mechanised gnome not an amputee gnome. I wish they gave us the option to be some awesome death machines not a walking assortment of gnome parts.
At least a larger selection of customization would be nice. There’s just so many things they could have added to them to make them look cooler.
They’re growing on me but such a missed opportunity…

Going with mechagnome wasnt a bad idea however, they need to redesign or upgrade how they look.
If they look like mini version of ironman, i am sure many would be happy

Yea it would have been nice if they let us decide how many limbs had to be mechanical 1-4 with 1 being minimum…instead they are all just Diaper Gnomes…kind of disappointing but definitely in keeping with how Blizzard has handed out AR’s over the course of their existence. I mean our last AR was fat people, so Diaper Gnomes somehow seems lowly, easy to do and an afterthought…just right for the Alliance in Blizzards mind.

I personally thought they would of added mech parts to the normal gnomes customisation, but maybe Blizzcon has something bigger and better for Alliance faction!

Junker gnomes are an abomination. I for one will be killing each one I come across and burning off the flesh. I will then take the metal parts and put them in the bfa scrpper.
