Mechagnome unlock?

Please help me figure out what I need to do to unlock the mechagnome race as a member of the Alliance. I can’t figure out how to get the achievement to unlock the race. I have completed Operation: Mechagnome Junkyard and I’ve completed the mechagnome quest line to kill the king. Do I need to reach exhalted with the rustbolt resistance?

ironic they can pick locks.

Each faction has a place they can be unlocked. One in Stormwind The other In Orgrimmar. At the embassy

They just can’t pick any MODERN locks.

Modern chests (at least) require 75 skill, the MGs only 70.

I was going to level a Rogue MG for lockpicking when I learned they had the racial, so I leveled it as a hunter instead.

There should be an npc to talk to, to obtain them in either embassy but I think you have to be specifically on an Alliance Toon to unlock them since majority of the requisites were removed.

In order to unlock the ability to play as mechagnomes, players must have a level 40 Alliance character and complete the following recruitment questline:

  1. [40-70] Urgent Care (optional)
  2. [40-70] Waning Energy.
  3. [40-70] Someone Who Can Help.
  4. [40-70] The Current Schematic.
  5. [40-70] Voyage to Safety.
  6. [40-70] Better… …
  7. [40-70] Him?
  8. [40-80] Mental Attunement
  9. [40-80] A Strong Heart
  10. [40-70] Ascension
  11. [40-70] The Future of Mechagon
  12. [40-70] Propagate the News

Now this is for Alliance. I don’t know if it’s different for Hoard.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure you need to do those on Alliance. Then you should be able to unlock them.

You need to be on an alliance character of a certain level (I think 50 or 60), and the quest for each allied race should be in the embassy near Chromie.
