Mechagnome Transmog Complaints

Why is everyone complaining about transmog on a mechagnome, when they look AWESOME if you just give them their tabard and hide everything else?

They basically have “baseline mog” lol

They look creepy.

It’s like that with their heritage set too. They pretty much have two decent looks that only work with one prosthetic color.

I don’t think I will ever understand the desire to transmog over the parts that make a mechagnome mecha. To me, that defeats the purpose of playing a mechagnome; if you want to hide all of our mecha goodness, just play a regular gnome.

I love my current mog and don’t even use the tabard…

The DK starter gear looks absolutely hysterical on them

Well, I shall stay here for the decadence.

I haven’t played one yet but if they could xmog as normal what would visually separate them from a regular gnome?

I think not having the option to cover some/all the mecha parts is the problem. If you want to show them off then awesome, hide those pieces of gear. Instead we have to show the legs and arms all the time, which limits creativity and aesthetic.

The reason why they screwed mogs for mechagnomes is an obvious one if you think about it. The racials on mechagnomes are superior to regular gnomes. Which means the vast majority of gnome players would simply see them as a natural upgrade and race change en masse. To prevent this, Blizz decided to gimp them visually.

Same reason why KTs are fat. Their racials are simply superior to regular humans. So once again they had to have a negative to put a brake on mass race changes.

Logic then dictates that you play a regular gnome if you want to cover the mecha parts of a mechagnome.

What if you wanted to wear a robe but hide the gloves to show off your mecha arms? Sure that covers the legs but you’d still have visible pieces and rep the MechaGnomes. It’s all well and good how they designed them, i just think a little more Transmog customization would have been nice. I’ll still level one to 110/120 at some point all the same.

My understanding is that a robe does cover mechagnome legs, but I have not tested that premise as I would never don such an inefficient garment.

Ok hk 47 lol

Try making a female DK Panda and look at that helm, still get nightmares.

To add to the topic, I think Mechagnomes are heavily under rated. Can’t wait to unlock mine.

That’s what I’m doing with my little roboy. He looks fantastic.
