Shaman is worship something.
Mechagnomes are tech.
I have a goblin shaman, and I would love to summon a gold nugget for an earth elemental, or maybe an elemental that looks like Opulence, lol.

Mechagnome paladins would work as well. They could be cyber knights.

Technically they have paladins, just not Church of the Holy Light paladins.
The mechanics in Mechagon use 1h and shield, cast a heal called repair, and cast a buff called overclock.

Shamans do not “worship” the elements, they work with them. From wowwiki:
Shamanic cultures have long sought to live in harmony with, or assert dominion over, the elements. To do so, they call upon the primordial forces of Spirit and Decay. Those who seek to bring balance to the elements rely on Spirit (sometimes referred to as the “fifth element” by shaman, or “chi” by monks). This life-giving force interconnects and binds all things in existence as one. Decay is the tool of shaman seeking to subjugate and weaponize the elements themselves.

Listen, I’m still amazed Mechagnomes can wield magic with clamps… let alone a sword… can we just let Mechagnomes just be buried under the rubbish Allied Races Alliance have gotten…
Hopefully they’ll get something good soon… literally every Allied Race Alliance has gotten is under 1% that have made it to lvl 120…

Not a minority, literally I been wanting this forever, I think for WoW to grow and progress it needs to let the players enjoy the class and race they choose…
I made a post a loooong time ago called “The Case of Mechagnomes” where I went in to detail about how they could work and tied in how it could bring a certain flavor to the Engineering profession by allowing engineers to craft items that would change the color of their eyes/light-lines and stuff lol When I say I’ve been wanting this for a long time I mean it, but this is what we’re getting so I at least want to shoot my shot

Personally not interested in them. Too ugly in my eyes but gratz that you like them.
For most players they will need something to really sell. Especially since the racials are already nerfed twice.
I admit rp wise all sorts of inspecter gadget and transhumanism rp could be done. But for me.
I will only create a mecha gnome if they can be druids. So i can parody beastwars and transformers.

Yup, ESPECIALLY considering one of the island expedition quests that reveal there is current unrest in the elemental plane:
The Elementals
–The elemental planes are in a turmoil over the Azerite. The lesser elemental lords are fighting against each other, seeking to overthrow their current lords and take the planes for themselves. They see the Azerite as a sign of a new elemental rebirth.
The elements themselves are looking for “rebirth,” so maybe aligning with augmented/enhanced creatures would be appealing to them.

I’d love to be a mechagnome shaman but while they are at it I want to be a mechagnome Druid. I know blah blah blah no connection to nature and yada yada. They don’t have too be nature Druid’s you can make them like transformers so they would be mechanical druids.

Technically Hunters are supposed to have a connection to Nature as well but they gave us Gnome Hunters, so you never know. I’d like my mechanocat mechagnome druid too, but I think they would be far less likely because they would be too cool.

I would love it. If they had guns there spells can come from there guns O.o
I can see shooting fire from there robotic arms as a cool thing too.

I think mechagnomes are far from being attuned with nature. But goblins can be Shamans so w/e.
