There is no reason we shouldn’t have it if you can already be a Warlock. Already have Goblins and Vulpera for that size on Horde, let’s get some love for Alliance. Also Mechagnomes should have the perma well fed buff like the Earthens. Mechagnomes are the OG robots and they got pushed away just because they don’t spam the word “directive” in every other sentence.
Also please, if you’re going to be dumb and say the defs need to focus on working on ingame bugs or something just stop. This would always be true and they have people working on features no one asked for.

I will say not every race should have access to every class like DH they are being kept in the elves so far. Gnomes should not be shamans this is all.

Gnomes are a blight an infestation. they have mor than enough classes.
but in all seriousness if they expand shamans for alliance then horde need more paladin races.

Honestly, I want to be like “ew no, Mechagnomes shouldn’t be shaman”, buuuuuut…Goblins have it, so. As much as I want to say I don’t agree with this, I begrudgingly do. If gobbos can jank working with the elements, there’s no reason diaper-babies shouldn’t be able to.
As an Earthen Shaman, I support Shaman for our smaller, jankier, less-directive-ey cousins.

Warlock works totally different than Shamans, Mechagnome are cold and logical that seem pretty good for subjugating demons. Shaman Goblins is something that should’ve just never happened to begin with but basically every other shaman race beside them have some kind of cultural reverence for their ancestors and ties to the land somewhat, I mean we already have Dwarf shamans so Alliance has small shaman race already that actually fits, mechagnome would be like the absolute worst pairing for shaman of any race tbh besides maybe Forsaken.
The Draenei from what I understand consider Shamanism as part of the light some how and that is how they got access to it??? That but then again Tauren’s got to be paladins because they worship the sun which is light I guess so who knows.
Dranei learned about Shamanism through Nobundo and the broken who were severed from the light and turned to shamanism to replace it, when the broken rejoined the Dranei the ways of Shamanism were also introduced into their society. Velen allowed this as he considered shamanism and the elements as another manifestation of the light which was good enough for must Dranei to accept it I suppose.
I think for Tauren it was more gameplay reasons then they have actual Paladins, I think they’re technically called Sunwalkers but since they both wield the light they just gave them Paladins, its kinda the same reason Undead have Priest when technically only Shadow Priest were originally the only type of Priest they could be as the light literally causes pain for them well until the whole ‘Light Undead’ Calia bullcrap they pulled out later on of coarse.
Yea the whole light undead bs is just god awful. And yea Undead priest should have only been shadow but different aspects that allowed them to heal using shadow. Just like light forged Draenei shouldn’t be able to do anything with shadow and void elves shouldn’t be able to do anything with the light.

I would have never rerolled my priest to Drac if Lightforged had neat little shadow-spells-appear-as-light-spells effect. Genuinely I think this should be a flavor for specific races.
“Everything can be Necromancy” was a bad idea, straight up and down. I’ll be that guy. That one definitely should have taken a little trip back to the drawing board along with a suggestion from a supervisor to never come up with something like that again.
Imo with the lore blizzard put in the game the fact that void and light when they touch cause an explosion this was in the legion expansion when you find Alleria for the first time when she touches Turalyon it causes an explosion. Light Forged Dreani should have only holy spells and instead of Shadow form and Shadow abilities they should be changed to light form and light version of the spells.
Gnomes are believed to have originated from mechagnomes—clockwork creations made by the Titan Watcher Mimiron. These were designed to serve and maintain Titan facilities. Over time, they were affected by the Curse of Flesh, leading them to become the gnomes known today. Their society is deeply rooted in technological innovation, engineering, and arcane studies, rather than any connection to elemental forces and ancestral spirits. In World of Warcraft, shamanism is traditionally associated with races that have a deep connection to the elements, such as the orcs, tauren, and trolls. Gnomes, however, are not depicted as having this elemental, or ancestral bond.
