Mechagnome racials seem way too good

I will give Blizzard credit, Zandalari “Regeneratin” also was way too strong in the ptr in its initial form, but was nerfed to sensibility before launch.

Hopefully that trend holds, because the mechagnome racials seem really, really strong. Two in particular:

  1. Combat Analysis - You gather and analyze combat data every 5 secs, increasing your primary stat by (50 at level 120), stacking up to 8x. The data decays while out of combat.

  2. Re-Arm - When you fall below 20% health, heal for 20% of your maximum health. This effect cannot occur more than once every 1.5 min.

These are extremely strong on all classes and specs. It’s tempting to say “especially tanks” with #2 but really there’s a lot of raid encounters these days where the whole raid takes massive damage and is on the razor’s edge if mistakes are made during the learning process. The mechagnome dps/healers are almost guaranteed to survive where other people might not quite make it.

The Vulpera on the other hand have “decent” racials but nothing earth shattering, the only unknown is the bag of tricks which most expect to function like the loa blessings.

They are absolutely busted. I imagine they are so good cus noone but a few wanna play the rusted busted version of a Gnome over Vulpera.

I’d argue regeneratin is still strong as hell even with the change. Especially on a Paladin or any class that has the mobility to easily LoS or use it somewhere they wont get interrupted.

Feel free to switch to Alliance if you think it that good, it’s what Horde posters have been saying to Alliance for years and years when their racials were the best ones by a long shot to the point that it affected the raiding population. It’ll probably get adjusted some, but hey, can’t say i’d feel bad if it stayed and Horde decided to complain some more.

Those do seem strong.

I’m fine with it to be honest. Certainly makes the race far more attractive.

I don’t think the racials are strong enough for them to take that look on. Have you seen the images of what they look like in gear? looks silly with the armor not showing for legs and arms

Well lucky we can hide pretty all of our armor now. All that’s left is to start protesting for a hide pants option👖

With the way their pants show on them hiding all the armor would make them look like they are only wearing a diaper/thong

Re-arm is the same amount of healing as Gift of the Naruu, and it only works on yourself. But it can “be used” twice as often. Seems about right.
That first one is 400 more mainstat (or roughly the equivalent of a Flask). That’s a bit over the top considering that Panda’s get double the food bonus (or ~+130 main stat from a feast). I expect it will get a nerf either in stacks or base.

Recovery Partition: When you die, you are instantly revived to 50% health.
Overclock: Boost Haste by 75% for 20s

I love dark iron dwarves but… are you sure you want to call regenerating strong, Mr. “I can dispell myself out of literally any debuff and buff myself while doing it”?

This is part of their answer to faction balance issues, I feel. Between Dark Irons and Mechagnomes, the temptation to transfer has to be getting strong for some minmaxer types… perhaps even strong enough to overcome the rolling momentum the Horde has.

I never said the allied races for Alliance don’t have any strong racials, i’m just saying the complaints from Horde side are a bit rich when they have their own as well and had them for years before this too on some of their core races as well

Also that’s not our strongest racial, the beard is.

It’s also automatic and not on the GCD. I wouldn’t compare it to GotN, it’s very similar to some frequently nerfed/rebalanced tank talents (wotn for DKs and various paladin failsafes over the years).

Honestly I wished we had more fun and cool racials. I like seeing cool things that are super flavorful and cool. I feel we worry too much about balance as long as everyone has cool, fun and strong things it doesn’t really matter. One of the coolest things about picking races is how unique it makes you feel and the fantasy it creates other than just visuals. It’s defiantly going to get tuned that’s for sure, but I hope they don’t hit it too hard to were it’s not any good.

Other than for pallies it’s ooc health regen to save for your food bill. I had race changed my pally to it for a bit and I didn’t use it except when I would yolo off a cliff and somehow didn’t die.
