Mechagnome 'Druid'?

While I’d prefer there be no class/race restrictions, upon the arrival of mechagnomes, it occurred to me that there’s a fair amount of opportunity with 'mecha’anything. Gnomes, mecha or otherwise cannot be druids, paladins, or shaman; its a shame.

I propose that Druid be a ‘new’ mechagnome additional class. It would the 4th race, matching the horde for druid capable races, and be unique. I envision this as a ‘transform into’ forms, rather then ‘magic shape change’, since they’re machines mostly. Id expect the spells/abilities to have different names/graphics perhaps, but, do the same things.

Id ALSO like to see the two additional Elf races (nightborne/void) be added to Demon Hunter class.

These seem like low hanging fruit.

There are not many requirements to being a druid.

You do not have to worship nature.

You do not have to be besties with a wild god.

You do not need a Night Elf’s stamp of approval.

What you do have to do is use nature magic. Transformer Gnomes that do not use nature magic would not be druids.

What about space elves and troll elves?

I really don’t want my tank to be a battle pet.

I swear if the diaper race got over vulpera… However I don’t see them being druids lore wise as they are more closely related to thinkers than druids which is a nature thing.

The druid would have to have some connection to the Emerald Dream.

  • Cenarius: Night elf, Tauren, Highmountain Tauren
  • Goldrinn: Worgen
  • Gonk: Trolls, Zandalari Trolls
  • Thros: Kul’tiran Human

No, they wouldn’t.

They would just have to use nature magic. Not all nature magic comes from the dream.

For one thing, Thros has nothing to do with the Dream. It’s totally separate. Possibly part of the Shadowlands.

As the war went on, the desperate Drust called onto dark powers. Unbeknownst to them, they had reached the Emerald Nightmare. Their fallen warriors would find refuge in Thros, an offshoot of the Nightmare which they named differently as they were not aware of what the Nightmare was.

Vulpera would be candidates for druids. They were land conservationists in Voldun despite their nomadic nature.

Plus there’s a whole quest chain about helping a Vulpera nurture plants. That’s like a 10th of all Vulpera lore ever dedicated to plants.

Its ABSOLUTE BS that Vulpera got a class (MONK, which goblin dont have access to) and Mechagnome got nothing different from regular gnomes.

Mechagnomes should have been given Shaman or Paladin or Druid.
They are the perfect race for explaining away any lack of faith with technology.

But Devs play Horde so dont expect anything cool for Alliance.

I want a Mechagnome Transformer Druid sooooo bad…

Travel form = mechastrider
Cat form = mechanical cat
Guardian = mechanical gorilla
Boonkin = I have no idea… Blizz would have to design it.

Most of the pieces are already there…

Yea, this is my point, most of it is already there, no magic required, all mechanical and mostly already there. Would be cool, different, and not require any new ‘mechanics’ to implement.

Not just no… but NOOOOOOOOOOO

Robots in WoW are a kind of life form in a sense now. You have wild “creatures” of a mechanical nature. Hunters can tame them. Titans have created them.

So a mechagnome spin on this idea would actually be very appropriate.

No, and you act like druids is the only class that has a difference in number between the two factions. If they really needed to make the factions balanced, they would have been fixing the other class imbalances too.

Mechagnome Druids

More than meets the eye…

But they’re more than meets the eye!!

That would be very nice addition. Mecha druid would be great =D

It’s hard to say anything… nightborne has nothing to go against, but nothing to goes towards it…
and… Idk how the fel and void powers would work in the same character… It’s kinda strange
