Meat wagon mount

Let me start by saying this mount is awesome.

But why do Blizzard always miss a good opportunity? At the moment it’s just a solo mount but I really think it should have been made a 2 seater. You could have had the second person sitting opposite or…have the second person sit in the catapult. And give the driver the option to launch the second person into the air.

What’s going on over at Blizzard? You had the option to make that 6 month sub mount float on water and you completely missed the mark.

If you’re wondering where the Meat Wagon mount comes from, it’s a promo mount for pre-ordering Warcraft 3 - Spoils Of War Edition. Anyway, it’s still an awesome mount but just tweaking it a little could have made it a great mount and a lot of fun. :sunglasses:

While being able to launch a person would be incredibly fun, they are probably worried about possible exploits involved.

Like using the mount to launch someone in a m+ dungeon as a skip.

The fun detector is getting more advanced. It wont be long before it gains a conscious and rises up to overthrow humanity.

Or right at the boss’ feet.

If you’re worried about getting launched into something bad, that’s the risk you take riding with friends.

It would be amusing if the Meat Wagon could actually pick up player corpses, which is sort of what it did in WC3. So if your friend dies you could grab his corpse and run, leaving him trapped in spirit limbo.

So many uses the meat wagon could have had.

  • Throwing chum out to increase fishing skill for everyone around.

  • Throwing meat out towards beast mobs so they are drawn to it and you can path more safely through the area.

  • Throwing things other than just meat, like bundles of party favors that other players could pick up and use, bundles of bunnies that disperse through the crowd giving each player a 5 minute bunny costume to wear, etc.

Maybe you are not looking at it close enough

I think over the years my appreciation for blizzard art has dulled in comparison to what it used to be. It may be due to them hiring younger talent or me growing out of it

It is, but it is so huge that it seems to unwieldy to me. I would have liked it more if it was sized quite small, for my Gnomish size.

It is so gigantic that I have to back my third person view way back, to just feel like I’m on a somewhat normal mount. So then I have to back it back in, when dismounting to have a more correct character view of myself.

So basically, I kind of just think of it as a mount number now; Though It is fun to do the /mountspecial, if bored in Stormwind (Catapult acts like hurling something.)

I kind of forgot about Warcraft 3 being part of it. I’ll have fun seeing if that also runs OK in Linux, like Wow/FFXIV do (been Windows free since the Burning Crusade expansion, when Wow finally ran well enough for me under Linux.)
