I finished Mea Culpa, but I’m not sure what happened; either I accidentally deleted the quest, or with two rogues doing it at the same time, created a bug where one didn’t receive the next quest to talk to Brodley. I remember deleting a quest after checking the quest log to see if I got the next one, but I’m sure it was a green quest I deleted from Stormwind. Talking to Brodley shouldn’t be a green quest even at lvl 60. But in my panic to try and figure out how to finish my darkmantle quest, I deleted the brazier of beckoning, thinking I could redo the quest. Now I’ve read online that you can’t get the brazier back, and even if I did get it back somehow, I don’t have the amulet to use on Valthalak to talk to him after he dies. Please help, I’ve spent 2 months trying to get my Shadowcraft tunic, and now I can’t even finish it, I’m softlocked. One solution I’ve thought of but haven’t tried is if someone else summoned him, would I be able to talk to the ghost of Valthalak and still be able to pick up the next quest to talk to Brodley so that I can finish this quest chain.

Ok, so I tried out my solution and it worked! If you by chance messed up like I did, there will be no way to talk to Valthalak since your amulet gets consumed. The amulet is the only thing that allows you to summon Valthalak’s spirit, and there is no way to get it back. This essentially softlocks you because even if you get someone to summon him using the Brazier of Invocation, the spirit won’t show up. So, you have to get someone who is specifically on the Mea Culpa quest, and they’ll use their amulet to summon the spirit of Valthalak. This will allow you to talk to him again to get the quest to talk to Brodley. Another thing was that, for some reason, when I deleted the Brazier of Beckoning to summon Valthalak in my panic, Brodley wouldn’t give me another one. But after talking to Valthalak to get the quest to talk to Brodley, he finally gave me the Brazier of Beckoning. Which you need the Brazier of Beckoning to turn in and finish with Brodley.
