Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip?

Is… Is Miracle Whip not mayonnaise?
I thought it was just a brand name of mayonnaise.

It’s a “salad dressing”. It’s sweeter and tangier than mayo.

Hellmann’s or nothing at all. I’ve tried the local mayonnaise in other countries and it’s horrible.

Neither, both are repulsive. Mustard or GTFO.

If I use Miracle Whip, it’s the one with olive oil. The Mayo I use is the low-fat. I prefer the taste of Miracle Whip, but use both.

Neither. They are both disgusting abominations.

This so much… As a kid my mom only bought Duke’s mayonnaise. I live in Georgia and people here swear by Duke’s. When I got older and tried Hellmann’s after seeing commercials for it all the time, I never went back to anything else.

I’m from the West Coast. Grew up with Best Foods. My dad would not use anything else. When he came to visit after I moved to the midwest I apologized to him that I could not find Best Foods. He was like everyone knows it is Hellmans east of the Rockies.

I had always thought the labels were the same haha. Luckily, it is what I had so I was safe.

Here is how you make Miracle Whip at home - take mayo and add a bunch of sugar. It’s kind of icky but unless there is a lot of it I can’t really tell the difference.

Mayo. Miracle Whip (as well as being disgusting) is a salad dressing. I’m not eating a salad. I’m eating a sandwich.

Grew up with Miracle Whip but married a Mayo person. So I like both. But I adore sauces of all kinds. Gravies, condiments, dips.

And yes, I do dip my French fries in my milkshake.

Next time one of those "favorite GD posters threads comes up, you are on my list!!!

Miracle Whip is salad dressing.

Hellman’s is the only mayonnaise worth your time.

Miracle whip or bama mayo. Anything else is a waste of space.

Neither … horseradish for me, please.

Is the only way to eat a sandwich. Mayonnaise is for salads and even then you need to add a little bit of sugar to it to make it palatable.

I’ve tried Miracle Whip and it was okay but I just prefer standard mayo. Don’t need that extra flair.

for myself, i don’t mind either.

i have witnessed severe conniptions from those whose sandwiches were ‘ruined’ from using their non-preferred white-sauce condiment
