Maybe we should all worship the Light

Briefly turns into Theotar “The light it burrrrrrnssssssssssssssssss!!”

Yeah… I’ll pass on that.

Well, it’s not a God, it’s a cosmic force powered by Will. Paladins and Priests are essentially Green Lanterns

WoW’s Protestant Light being forcibly spread to the “lesser races” wouldn’t send a good message.

I am aware. But humans and apparently OP treat it like a god so I’m explaining why I don’t follow it.

Bad opinion. The Light isn’t Christianity, you just think it is because of Aesthetics.

It is WoW’s version of Christianity. It would be very insulting if the Tauren, Trolls, Night Elves, or whatever just gave up their beliefs and worshipped the Light.

I’m not sure if I’m replying to a troll at this point or not, but all of those races do worship the light.

You just have terrible taste in worldbuilding. I want races to be unique.

No they freaking don’t. Just because Anduin said in a book “Um, actually Elune is just another manifestation of the Light.” doesn’t mean the Night Elves worship the human light.

They don’t worship the “human” light, they worship the light of the moon, or the light of An’She or the light of the Loa. It’s like saying any form of Sun worship on earth is Christianity. On top of that, The human light doesn’t have a Messiah, it doesn’t have a patriarchal god, it doesn’t have a heaven or communion or confession etc. There’s 10000 ways it’s different from Christianity. The Zandalari light worship is closer to Christianity than anything, they have a Patriarchal God literally called The King of Kings.

Absolutely not. I have an incredible astigmatism and light burns my eyes.

No they don’t. It is possible that Rezan, An’she, Elune, etc., are associated with the Light. Doesn’t mean that the races just plain worship the Human religion.

I said the Light was protestant first of all. That’s because Light worship operates on sola fide.

You’re wrong on heaven and confession, though. And the Light is the stand-in for a god.

Rezan does have similaries to Jesus but also a Sun gods in general from indigenous beliefs.

Now, done arguing with those with bad taste.

Actually it does. The Light needs your belief or it doesn’t work.

This guy gets it.

Arguably it does, in WC1 it was God but changed to Light because Christians complained so the lore was changed to the humans that fought in WC1 followed a belief that was no longer practiced

Nah, but thanks.

The light will burn me.

Yeah I noticed in the remastered they changed around text and words with some of the many updates.

I noticed most was flavor but havent played it in a few weeks. Are the burning legion still referred to as devils in wc 1?

I dunno, I haven’t picked up the remasters, I’m just remembering of weird things. Like I think level 1 for humans is like kill 3 orcs? Or was that WC2?
