At first,English isnt my mother tongue,so something may not express clearly.Hope to get your understanding.
I think some trinkets got from pve are imba in rbg.
For example ‘Inscrutable Quantum Device’ can get u out of control or heal all HP at sometime. But medal trinket already has the funtion to get u out of control. If someone equip both of these two trinkets,he can interrupt other players two times when they opening base.
The same as this trinket [Shadowgrasp Totem] this trinket can interrupt other players’ action 15 seconds.
I think these trinkets bring bad gaming experience to the rogue and druid players
Now I just discover that some Guardian druid players equip these trinkets when they sit on base.Because if other spec players dont equip two pvp trinkets,he is easy to die.
the trade off is not having the pvp trinket set bonus. more damage for less survivability.
That’s good. That’s very good
The fact that rogue can cap a node in a dr blind and then spin you until it caps is terrible
yeah thats right for many specializations.
So I said I just discover Guardian players equip these pve trinkets,Guardian druid may not mind his survivability.
But when the opponent’s druid and rogue come to invade guardian’s base, if he equips pve trinkets I mentioned.
He can hold on for a long time until his teammates support him.
You’re standing too close to the flag.
Stand further back and the blind falls off before they get to the flag.
Blind has a pretty good range
It has a 15 yard range, lasts for 5 seconds and it takes 6 seconds to cap a base.
Stand at the furthest range you have, 30 yards.
It takes a few seconds for the rogue to run to the flag.
You should have a few seconds after the blind to stop the cap.
Hot take, All pve earned gear, of any kind, should be completely useless in pvp. Putting on a PVE legendary should be the equivalent of wearing a grey (gray?) item in pvp.
The two trinkets you mentioned are from previous expansion and are like, 150-250 ilvl. Those trinkets wouldn’t even be worth it to run today unless it was near current ilvl. Sure one of them is a cc break on a 3 minute cooldown, but they’re at a huge disadvantage by not running the PvP trinket set bonus…
Eh, I’m glad it’s not like this. PvPers can bring their gear into PvE content and we can even upgrade our gear to be as powerful as PvE gear (Elite can upgrade to ilvl 483). It would be unfair that PvPers get to do this but PvE’ers cant. If someone wants to choose to break the PvP trinket set bonus, so be it, that’s a big disadvantage.
As for a PvE legendary, instead of turning useless, those effects should just be disabled in rated PvP content. It still keeps its stats, but no OP effect or whatever it would’ve had.
except the motorcycle trinket from bfa
vroom skrrrrrrrrrt
Never should have been allowed.
No. If Little Timmy wants to PvE, he should have to get PvE gear. If he wants to PvP, he should have to get PvP gear. No one wants the fool in full PvP gear at the top of the charts; it makes their efforts to get good gear from their preferred game mode feel useless (this is not speculation, this is exactly what happened for the short time PvP gear was better/easier to get than PvE gear; PvE’ers lost their mind.)
The same should be true for PvP. Just because Timmy’s guild carried him to get Shadowmourne doesn’t mean I should be at an immediate disadvantage in PvP. All gear should be gameplay exclusive to the content it is received from.
I did like that motorcycle. But that is exactly my point, I hated having to run m+ to get Geti’ikku, Cut of Death, Just to be competitive in PVP. I dont want to experience that ever again. Blizz should have learned from this mistake with Fury warriors and shadowmourne
I don’t see why not, the gear can only be upgraded as high as your PvP rank is in rated PvP. Something like Duelist or Elite is way more difficult to achieve than KSM.
This is still true to an extent even with gear being upgradeable. There’s still going to be items from PvE thats BiS and more optimal than the gear found in PvP. All of our gear has vers on it too so.
Nah its an MMORPG. Game should be connected as a whole and not have PvP on the side as its own minigame separate from everything else.
Yeah no, forcing pvpers to do mythic for bis, and forcing pveers to push rating for bis is just awful
It seems cute on paper but it just blows, and I frickin play both
Nobody wants to get rolled by drestagath trinkets because the other arena team is better at slaying dragons
Who said anything about forcing anyone to do anything. The way it currently works is perfect. PvPers can upgrade their gear dependent on what your rating is in PvP, and even then, loot acquisition and upgrade is timegated at a rate where a PvE’er would have the same chance to get said gear from PvE. Flightstones and crests are gated, the PvP gear we upgrade has to be obtained from vault or tier token to upgrade, etc.
That’s fine, like I said, the way it works now is great. If you run a PvE trinket in PvP youre losing out on the PvP trinket set bonus, and all PvE trinkets by default are nerfed by 50% in PvP.
I just hate this whole, “gear obtained from X should be COMPLETELY useless in the other” argument.
You’re so cute when you agree with me <3
As if verse isnt obtainable, As if people werent using Crafted (non scaled) PvE rings because they had MORE side stats than the pvp rings.
This has literally nothing to do with the conversation at hand. Its an MMORPG That i play 100% for pvp. I do not want to ever set foot in a dungeon for anything more than cosmetics. Get your pve chocolate out of my PVPeanut butter.
Read what I said above. ^
The way it works currently is amazing. PvE trinkets are nerfed by 50% in PvP and you lose alot by breaking set bonus.
I hate fighting people in full pve gear with legendaries (something completely unavailable to a pure pvp player).
The way it works now is amazing, FOR YOU. I hate it. You liking it isnt an argument against it.
If only trinkets were the main issue. If only BM hunters BIS weapon wasnt a bow from a mythic raid (last season).
Every single season, theres some garbage pve locked piece of gear that gives an advantage in pvp. Im tired of it.
This was season 1 and they did crush it after it showed up tournament
The subsequent weapons (ashkandur, the funny fire guy staff, evoker legendary) were all useless in pvp
Thank goodness they care about pvp when it affects the pros.
Look you’re sposed to be agreeing with me here.
fine. NEARLY every single season.
There were two mythic razageth kills leading up to that point
I can promise you no hunter player in limit was like “dude I gotta queue arena” (maybe they did but it’s one dude)
