im currently on Blackhand and it has went from a medium to low pop realm… it seems dead and i dont like it lol. can anyone recommend a good realm that has down to earth guilds?
My guild would be happy to take you on Burning Legion. We had a bunch of realm connections and are are listed as high now. Feel free to make a character over here and apply to Tools of Chaos on the guild finder if you want to check us out before transferring. 
Wowrealmpop now measures realm activity by checking the number of end boss raid kills that are found on a given server, which should tell you about the quality of raiding you’ll find on that server.
If you’re looking for another PST timezone realm, it sounds like Proudmoore would be your best bet according to the data:

Edit: I misread “Blackhand” as “Blackrock”. I’m not sure which timezone Blackhand is, but the site allows you to filter by timezone.

but im EST. and ill check that site out aswell.
My mistake, Stormrage is a strong EST timezone realm and has a very heavy Alliance population, if that’s what you’re looking for. Otherwise I’d also recommend Dalaran. It’s about an even split between Horde and Alliance and is also EST.

Reallm hop by making a level toon and go to Stormwind to read chats to see if you like the community. Wowprogress should tell which guilds are raiding and most likely tell if it’s faction dominance.

i took you up on the realm/guild. made a new toon to try it all out to see how it fits before doing a transfer
Y’all don’t wanna be Alliance on Azshara, all I gotta say… only reason I haven’t transferred my guild or even myself yet is I’m kind of a masochist… I’m strongly considering moving to Moon Guard of all places, but I gotta look around more first…
