Maybe just make a scaled battleground que for people that just want to pvp for fun?

I get that people want rewards for their time and effort. Also, some people dont have the time or desire to get top tier gearand just want to have fun playing the game.
Half the honor, give different rewards. Bonus to daily for playing both modes each week. The system is there. Eso has this feature. It can work. Theres a base for both.

They just need to cap Random BG ilvl to 205 -208 range and everything would be fine, Rated and Mythic gear would still merit more stats but Honor gear would be close enough to not be disadvantaged massively.

While not a terrible idea in principle, I think in practice anything that splits up the playerbase will end up being a net negative.

Horde bg ques are already 15-20 minutes, the same length of the actual game, even on prime server time, if we split it up we’d be looking at very long que times. Which the long ques would discourage anyone who doesn’t really want to PvP from quing, then the ques get even longer for those still doing it. It could be a vicious cycle downwards into no one but the most dedicated bgers quing up in hour long ques.

I understand the issue with ques. I think thats more of an issue that should be tackled regardless. Im sure there a lot of players that dont que currently just because its frustrating. No doubt, more people would be interested. PvP should have options, especially since we already know it can be implemented.

Randoms are about 6 minutes and epics are about 8-10 minutes.

I mean ok, you can say that. But literally last night I sat in a bg que for 24 minutes. Most where around 15 or less though.

The exact time of the ques currently is rather immaterial though. My main point is that splitting up the bgers into diff groups would increase que times, and that it’s likely that increase would then lead to less people quing, which then makes them even longer, which just cycles in on itself.

I mean I could be totally wrong, no one can see the future so we’re just speculating here. I think in general the idea is fine. But I do worry we’d be sitting at private server que times before long if they did this.

Strange. Maybe time of day.

Hell, lucky I didn’t start my characters on Horde side…

You can always merc if you don’t like the queue times. So…

Yeah but then I have to play as a filthy alliance scum, nah I’ll chill with the horde ques
