Hunter will become the weakest class in P8 at least pre-bis, especially melee hunter, or any spec with pet.
In Naxx Melee hunter T3 is broken with 24% damage and crit damage increase which is kind of a balance due to melee hunter too weak.
Season of Discovery never have a phase after 60 with BM shine. Maybe it’s time to scale the pet back to 45% which isn’t too strong but more of a balance.

Hunters have been in the top 3 dps (sometimes with 2 specs) for the past 3 phases.
The last thing they need is more PvE buffs.

currently it’s at the bottom. the naxx performance is solely based on number balance. melee hunter has 24% damage increase and crit damage increase which is almost 50% overall damage while other class have either 14% or 18%. now it’s gone, and BM never shine in PVE, my point is, it’s time for BM.
Just because your class isn’t at the top doesn’t mean it’s worthless, reroll to the fotm class paladin or stick with hunter.

I kind of agree, hunter pets were nuked in the early phases and never made a return.
Suck to be a class/spec that is still being punished for being strong in phase 1.

i dont want pets to be the go to, personally its nice to play without one / having to worry about it. that being said melee hunter could use some looking at the tier, it’s pretty lackluster atm.
We have gone through this now for a couple phases with Hunters. They will balance them, what we are seeing on test realms or sims will not be how they are released live.
Not that it really matters though, you will still smash content either way.

Playing with a pet in Classic that doesn’t have a functional AI or Assist stance is a straight debuff. Constantly having to micromanage, target switch and un-summon is a PITA.
I love my pair of Hunter pets in retail, will never touch a pet again in SoD. If you want to play BM, wait for MoP or play retail where pets aren’t useless and constantly pulling.
