Yep. Agreed. This is what my people and I came to the conclusion of last night as well. As I said, the important thing is there has been some exposure. The thing we shouldn’t do is merely forget about it. We should speak openly involving our problems with the goings-on at Blizzard. We should ensure that Blizzard knows this can never happen again.
But we also need to remember that we as people need to be specific. When we say “Blizzard, this can never happen again”, we’re speaking to those people in charge and letting them know that what happened here - a terrible thing not just limited to Blizzard, but to many work places - it cannot happen here. It shouldn’t happen anywhere. Ever. And now that we know, we will be mindful of it.
But those good people who work on the game that we love, we’re there for them too.

For those who don’t want to harm blizzard over all but just want to get their attention, I can understand it.
But for those who have been saying they want to see blizzard crash and burn, I find it hilarious how they’re looking ruin innocent peoples lives further. Let’s say all the allegations are true.
If the victims really wanted to leave the company, they would just leave, and it would be on their own terms. They’re not being forced to stay there.
However if you make the company go under, you just made them jobless with little to no notice. They might not be able to pay their bills and could end up losing everything including their homes.
What a champion for the victims people would be then.
No matter what, the games will go on. Some of them might get shut down, not sure how Hearthstone and HotS are doing anymore, but WoW would get bought before it shuts down (or possibly after at a reduced price). It makes money, and the prospect of a new company rejuvenating the game would bring in, at least, an initial wave of money, followed by lower than average sub count (at worst).
Check the list of movies produced by our old pal Harvey and tell with a straight face that you’ll never watch them again. Especially lord of the rings.
Its like ive been saying since this news broke. Kevin Spacey is a garbage pile of excrement, but i will always love Seven.
And Blizzard is a company made up of THOUSANDS. If the culture amongst the upper management is toxic, then fire them. Its basically that simple.
and i still watch kevin spacey movies and people still buy volkswagen cars even if hitler was involved with that company.
HA! we both made the Kevin Spacey comparison at literally the same time.
I wont watch lord of the rings ever again so long as I can help it. God awful films. Watched them a few times over the years to see if I could understand the hype but never could. They’re just so boring.
Lol I genuinely could not get into them.
Theyre not all that good
No, they are fantastic. Your brain is just…wrong.
The characters are just so 2D. All Frodo does for 3 movies is walk and complain. The battles hold zero tension in them (although I will give credit to the visuals of the battles)
You probably scream like a little girl looking at Anduin and Jaina and think their character is so deep.

There characters aren’t deep but I’d scream for anduin any day of the week
I’m glad we got this settled
I would imagine some percentage of the affected women still work there, so you’re also supporting them.
I, too, have no intention of cancelling my subscription or boycotting Blizzard. I’m not even prepared to condemn them based on allegations until those allegations are proven true.
What if I told you Kevin Spacey drives a Volkswagen?

This so much. Reading through this post makes me so sad because it makes it painfully obvious why so many things don’t in fact change. I’m not speaking specifically on the Blizz situation. Just seeing the leaps and twists and mental gymnastics and willful callousness just to keep enjoying what YOU want because hey you don’t know them or it wasnt your family member or friend that committed suicide is appalling.
The lack of empathy in society these days has truly reached epic proportions.

So you want what? Everyone to quit and cost thousands of people their job based sole on the actions of a handful of people? Most of which dont even work at Blizzard anymore?
