I mean I know I could go and find tons of threads that suggested many classes get buffed including sub.
Sub got buffed. So maybe look forward to other classes that may be coming eventually?

small minded if you think the people asking for buffs are the same people asking for nerfs
if 5 people say buff frost dk, and they do
then 50 people say ‘why tf did you buff frost dk’ it would be extremely low iq to think "this is what you all asked for!!!’ no?

If there were no whining, we’d have no discussions on the arena forum. It’d the last few seasons that Arena Junkies were alive all over again. I’m sick of duplicate threads/complaints but I get a lot of laughs out of it.
I’m pretty sure it has more to do with Blizzard stating, in blue post no less, that tuning passes were being made in the 8.2 PTR cycles and we would see adjusts as they come out with them. So people then assume: “cool maybe they are working on a few of the spec’s we’ve all complained about and we’ll see what changes they have in mind.”
Then all of the sudden here’s a patch fixing only 1 spec, from a class that is already doing exceedingly well in the current Season 2 meta, with no other words about potential changes to other classes.
It’s like your mother saying no dessert until after dinner and then handing your sibling an ice cream cone before they eat their vegetables, while you sit there in silence and get nothing.

Hey, I get the frustrations of only seeing this one change, but to nostalgic,
It’s also small minded to think that out of every single person who’s complaining now, not one of them has at least casually mentioned that sub should get buffs along with X, Y, and Z. You have far too much faith in the general populous that they’re all intelligent, rationally thinking, non hypocritical beings.
All I’m saying is if this change included tons of other widely desired things, I doubt many would be complaining about sub at all. People just want to whine and complain.
I mean you could use similar logic to yours to say that we’ll never see any buffs because despite the few people who advocate for them, even pros, that there’s thousands who don’t. Why make changes for only the few, regardless of who they are? I’m not saying they should adapt this mentality by the way, don’t get all excited to throw that in my face lol.

I’m glad to see damage buffs, esp for Sub, but it’s just weird timing. Radio silence for months and then Sub changes and that’s it.

Yeah that’s pretty much my feeling, odd change and odd that it’s the only one but it’s not nexessarily a horrible change.
Realistic big eviscs are like 48k which is pretty much 1/5 of someones health which is pretty comparable to MoP damage levels (Chimera Crits were around the same amount of a health pool assumigg proc trinket was up and you had engi scope too).
If anything I think more specs need burstier damage like this
Also why are crits even 150% in PvP in general, feel like they should just stop having them nerfed across the board and just tune the specs benefiting from it too much if necessary.

Agreed fellas. Definitely underwhelming for sure, which I could see causing discontent. Among the under-performing classes, sub was certainly not one I was “worried about” the most. However when sin was the topic of conversation, everyone said they’d like to see sin gutted and the meta is better when sub is better. Whelp… sub is better now lol. (Not necessarily better than sin)
