Yeah, yeah, “I worked hard to get my set back in Legion. Not fair for people to get their set easier.” Couple things, I’ve already got my full set on the alts I played in Legion. So, I put in the same “work”. Many races weren’t even available in Legion. If players want the order armor set they have to grind old content, all the way to exalted for the shoulders. Lastly, when SL comes out Legion will be two expansions out of date. Seems silly to need to grind old rep on every single new character made.
Why not just make order hall armor unlock an account-wide thing? Players would then still have to put in the “work” at least once. (Actually, it’s probably just time to make reps account-wide, maybe like at the end of the expansion they’re from. So like, BfA rep would become account-wide when SL launches.)

I am down for this. I only have one full Class Hall set, Warlock, and only one other Class shoulders, because my Rogue is a Nightborne. I guess I could just shortcut it, and make all possible Nightborne classes, and get them to Legion. Maybe that will work in Shadowlands. I’d still be missing Demon Hunter, Druid, Paladin, and Shaman.
make a class trial Nightborne character
you can buy the gloves and shoulders from the vendor
It’s long but doable. However I much rather be playing in current content. I agree we need to have these simply linked to some specific legion dungeons. They are nice, but certainly not worth the massive grind on a new alt.
I mean, if rep is going away to unlock allied races I don’t see why we can’t relax rep on these.

You can have 18 of my entire set.
It’s garbage.

I hope not. Paragon boxes on several characters is good gold.
And yep. Was pretty disappointed in the dk set.
I dunno. I never bought the armor sets. Functionally they were expensive trash. Yet I had 30 110’s fully exalted in Legion.

Am I missing something? The transmogs are accountwide right? So why are we concerned if the outdated armor can be purchased accountwide?
I wasn’t thinking of removing all rep. I think it would be nice to have the achievement for that Exalted rep with the Nightfallen (and others) just allow the unlocks for the gear they are holding. That way, I don’t have to go back to do Kalu’ak on every character, just for their fishing pole and a couple transmogs or recipes.
The problem is that there are 12 transmog sets, one for each class. The gloves and shoulders are locked behind Nightfallen rep, which you can’t even start until the character is 110. It’s a pain you-know-where.

All this good stuff in Legion
And all new players are going to be forced to do BfA

Do you mean the appearances for transmogs or the actual items for leveling purposes?
Instead of making a new thread I’ll just add my reply here. So i was honored on my warrior so i figured id just finish the grind on him for the order hall set for my alt.
Grinded pretty hard to get to exalted and do everything else and log over to my alt to transmog it on to him. Man am I annoyed that i wasted my time doing this. Why is this even character locked anyway? I mean my mage tower appearances aren’t and people don’t have to grind to fly either. This seems like a silly restriction to keep.

Which rep were you working on, and what class was the alt? Once you get a piece of Class Hall armor, it unlocks for every character on your account, of that class. So, you should have been able to transmog the set on a low level Warrior, now that all 1-50 transmogs are open to level 10s.
I think the point they are making is making the unlocks for the armor peices account wide. For example i have the full set on my hunter class hall armor so that should unlock the set on my frsh level 50 rogue. It is a pain to have to go back and grind exalted Nightfallen rep on every alt especially when it is not even current content
Edit: Not saying i think it should not take any work. For me i would probably lock the entire set behind the order hall campaign. That still requires time do the time gated missions and just the general running back and forth, but wont require silly rep grind that are really kinda pointless
Yeah, this is pretty much how I wished that it worked, as well. I was just trying to clarify what they were aiming for when they posted.
