Anyone else often find themselves already over Dragonflying? I’m the type of player that likes to tab out during flightpaths/auto flying and like to open my map looking for quests or even looking at mogs while flying. Dragonflying has taken that joy away from me. Dragonflying is an oppressive system that makes you never stop interacting with the game. I believe systems like these are unhealthy and is the video game equivalent of “smoke another one Johnny!” Please blizzard may I opt out of Dragonflying?

Just use flight paths then flap your dragon wings for the rest. You are bang on though playing wow while doing something else way more interesting is the norm.

I am 100% still into Dragonriding. I want it everywhere and use it all the time.
But I 100% think reg flying should be added at least some point soon. Whether it’s liked or not, Dragonriding is an expansion feature and one of the marketing bullet points. I feel like they’d probably make it a s2 feature.

Dragonflight is EPIC especially when you get all the glyphs on your main, the rest of your alts at 60 get to enjoy your mains hard labor.

Blizz should have added both forms of flying from the start.

You can do those things while just sitting on the ground mounted but not flying, then when you are done just dragon-fly to wherever you are going and still get there faster than you would have with normal flight.
Or just take a flight path as others have said.
Saying you feel the game is oppressive and forcing you to interact 100% of the time is just silly. If you want to look at your tmogs for a few minutes, then just do it. Then fly across the entire island in like 2 minutes after you are done.
(Having said that, I definitely think normal old flying should be available right now in DF zones, and Dragonflying should be available right now in old zones. Pointless limitations are bad)

Gah, I couldn’t agree more. I’m in love with the system and I’d love to soar over some of the old areas.
Just had a situation where I was flying to each area in Outland for a Warlock quest (I don’t have FP yet), and it was dreadfully dull. DR would have given me some in-flight entertainment at least.

uh…flight paths are still there. More than needed, actually. nothing is stopping you from doing this…literally at all as far as flight paths.
uh…its a game…your SUPPOSED to be interacting with it.
Unless you are handicapped in some way…motion sickness, vision issues, motor skill problems, etc…I have ZERO sympathy.
